The couple stood looking toward the elders as did the rest of the people in the room. Malik has yet to see his bride's face. The supernaturals believed that seeing the bride before the marriage ritual is a bad omen.

Luckily for him, he could identify his wife, hence there was no chance of others trying to impersonate her. He has a high sense of smell and a photogenic memory.

Every small curve in his wife's body was ingrained into his mind and heart. This was the other reason for his confidence.

Finally, every subordinate that worked for him or with him loved Maimuna. Most were afraid of him yet they freely gave their love to his wife.

Malik didn't give his guests any look. His eyes were trained on his beautiful wife who wore a white gown. He placed a protective barrier on their frame inclusive of the elders.
