Kapitel 228: Lahan

Samira hesitated before taking his hand by the wrist. Afraid of seeing his reaction, she didn't look up. She began to walk toward the hammock. She sat down and patted the place next to her.

Ezra watched in fascination at the girl who couldn't look into his gaze. He felt denied of the beauty's bewitching gaze. Even so, he was grateful that he could finally think properly.

With her gaze looking into his, the king could not think at all. He just wished to get lost in the tranquility he found therein.

Now that she was looking away, he observed her features. The more he saw of her, the more he wished to see what lies beneath her conservative garb.

He swallowed his own chain of thought. He was caught off guard when she finally looked his way. This time, she chose to look at his other features as well.

She liked what she saw. She wanted to see more of him in terms of his heart. She had a feeling embedded deeply in her heart that he was suffering.
