Kapitel 24: The Fight Part 2
Wings? Demi-humans don't have wings, is she perhaps an intelligent monster of some kind? Whatever she is she'll be useful to me once I get her on my side. Now that her defence is down I just have to hit her with a charm spell before she recovers and it'll all be over.
"Well, what do you say"
She was just walking towards me, but I felt as if my offer had landed on deaf ears. I retracted my hand and prepared to fight. A mage is only useful as long as they have magic left, I should be careful to conserve as much as possible from now on.
Madison got down on all fours and seemed to be taking a stance to approach as quick as possible. A dark aura surrounded her and as she begun to sprint she flapped her wings heavily giving her more speed.
"[Teleport]"
What was that, why was she so fast? I thought I was getting a general grasp of her skills then this happens. Was she holding back? I should try and avoid teleporting again, it takes too much magic and disorientates me, I have do either defend and counter attack or take the offensive.
Madison launched towards me again and made the choice for me. I would have to defend and find an opportunity to counter attack and charm her.
"[Barrier]"
Madison shattered the barrier with only one hit, but it slowed her down a bit.
"[Water Wall]"
Her momentum should carry her through the water wall and slow her down even more. Madison went through the wall just as expected, but before I could cast anything else a loud roar erupted from her and I instinctively covered my ears. My legs wont move, and all I can hear is ringing.

[Roar]
This should stop her long enough to finish her off. I rushed towards Jasmine and used [Slash]. She couldn't move and it hit her perfectly. To make things even better I received a notification saying

[Damage Bonus: 34%]
Blood poured out of her chest and mouth as she was pushed back a few feet from the attack. She now lied on the ground with large wounds covering her.
"[Holy Light... Heal]"
Her wounds began closing again, but it would be a waste to let her go now, so I jumped on top of her and began a barrage of attacks. Her wounds reopened even faster than they closed; she couldn't heal quick enough. I made sure to hit her in just the right spots to knock the wind out of her so she wouldn't teleport away.

At first she tried to block with her arms, but she seemed to lose the energy to defend herself and just laid there motionless as I hit her. I bit hard into her neck and while she finally reacted, it wasn't enough to save her. I ripped out part of her neck and blood began pouring out of there too. I started salivating it and proceeded to drink her blood. A few gasps, groans, and pained winces could be heard quietly.
It was delicious. No, it was more than that, it was unbelievably amazing. Pure ecstasy. My wounds began healing, and I felt as if I had regained my stamina from the fight.
"It's over here!"
A group of water mages came over to stop the fire at the inn. The rain managed to keep the fire at bay, but without someone stopping the fire inside the building and people inside would be in trouble.
"There's a monster!"
A group of five mages came around the corner and began preparing to fight.
"[Water Spear]"

"[Water Fissure]"
"[Water Spear]"
"[Water Spear]"
I leaped backwards outside the range of their attacks.
[Roar]
The mages were frozen in place for a second, and I took that opportunity to flee. Even I knew my limits; fighting five well trained mages at once would obviously not be in my favor. I flapped my wings and flew away from them trying to find my next prey in this city.
[Mental Fortitude Reenabled]
Seeing that notification my wings retracted and I fell to the ground.

I opened my eyes and saw a bright and unfamiliar ceiling. I looked around and came to the conclusion I was in a clinic of sorts. Once I came to my senses notifications started showing up.
