-Fourth Year Boys' Dormitory – Gryffindor Tower-
"What happened Harry?" Hermione asked, looking worriedly at her not-so-secret crush, sitting on the bed next to him while Ron sat on the next bed facing them.
"Yes, what happened? And why didn't you say you knew a way to get your name into the cup?" Ron asked, trying but failing to completely suppress his irritation.
"I didn't say anything because I didn't know and I already said I didn't put my name in the cup" Harry said with a sigh, tired of having to try to explain himself.
And Ron was about to open his mouth again to say something most likely stupid, but a look from Hermione silenced him.
"We believe you Harry," Hermione said, looking at him softly, "But what now? Will you have to participate in the tournament?" she asked.
"Sigh, unfortunately I am forced to compete in the tournament" he said, "As my name came out of the cup I am obliged by a magical contract to compete in the three tasks, even if I don't want to"
"But can't the Headmaster do something about it?" she asked, and Harry shook his head with a sad smile.
"No, not even he can cancel a magical contract" he replied.
The three then fell silent, with Ron looking at Harry, while Hermione bit her lip, using her incredible mind to try to find a way to get her friend out of this deadly competition.
And a few seconds later the silence was broken by the red-haired member of the group, who was still unsure whether or not his friend had put his name in the cup on purpose.
But he knew one thing, which was the fact that Harry was having the happiest moments of his life now that he lived with his godfather, and that participating in a dangerous competition was not in his plans for this year.
And for that reason he knew he shouldn't distrust his best friend, and suppressing his feelings of jealousy he asked an important question.
"You said you didn't put your name in the cup, right?" he asked, and his friend with messy black hair nodded, "In that case then who did this?"
"I don't know," Harry replied, looking down at his hands which were clasped together in his lap, "But Professor Moody said that whoever put my name in the Goblet of Fire modified the cup so that I would be chosen as a fourth champion without school, and that only a powerful and knowledgeable wizard would be able to do this."
"So it was some seventh year student who put their name in the tournament?" Ron asked as he frowned.
"No, a seventh year student wouldn't be powerful enough to modify a magical item as old as the Goblet of Fire," Hermione replied for her friend, who she noticed was silent.
And turning to Harry she noticed that he had a tense and nervous look, and placing her hand on his knee she looked at him.
"Harry, what happened?" she asked.
Harry then remained silent for a few seconds, before sighing and looking at his friends, who were staring at him.
"Professor Moody also said that whoever put my name in the cup did it because... Because he want me to die" he said, and this information made both of them look at him scared.
"W-what?" Hermione asked, finding it difficult to breathe.
"Whoever put my name in the cup probably wants me to die in one of the tasks" Harry said, and listening to him his friends looked at each other with worried looks.
"Did Professor Moody say this to the Headmaster and the other tournament organizers?" Hermione asked.
"Yes" Harry nodded.
"And… And yet the Headmaster didn't do anything?" Ron asked, swallowing hard with an apprehensive look.
"Like I said before, it's a magical contract, he can't do anything" he said, shrugging his shoulders.
"But and now? What will you do?" Hermione asked.
"Now I'm going to have to go through the three tasks and try to survive them," Harry said, and his friends couldn't help but feel worried, with Hermione approaching him while Ron looked down frowning.
And noticing his friends' expressions, Harry decided to try to reassure them.
"But don't worry, Ethan already promised he'll help me complete the tasks."
"But how will he help you? He is also one of the champions and a student" Hermione said.
"Well, teachers are forbidden from helping the champions, and among all the students he is the most capable and also the best wizard I know... I mean, the second best" Harry said, looking at Hermione in the end the sentence with a small smile.
And hearing this, Hermione smiled, her cheeks blushing slightly.
"Well, I guess that's good then," Ron said, deciding to ignore the loving atmosphere between his friends.
"I don't know how he'll be able to help you" Hermione began to say with a bit of doubt in her tone, "But I think in this situation any help is welcome"
"Uhm" Harry nodded.
"And in this case, we will help you too!" she proclaimed with a resolute look, "I will read all the books about the past tournaments, and I will also write you a list of useful and easy-to-learn spells, so you will be prepared when the day of the first task arrives."
"Yes, I may not promise to read as many books as her, but I will help you too" Ron said, showing support for his friend.
"Thank you" Harry said, now feeling less apprehensive and tense, "I'm glad to have you two by my side" he smiled.
And hearing this his two friends also smiled.
And now Harry really felt that he would be able to survive this tournament, and as I had told him, he would do it spectacularly.

-Ravenclaw common room-
As expected, my housemates were waiting for me in the common room so they could celebrate the fact that the Hogwarts champion was a raven.
Of course, they were also waiting for me because they wanted to know what had been discussed in the chamber of champions and why there was a fourth champion.
And I explained to them in a simple way that Harry being in the tournament was not intentional, and that someone had put his name in the Goblet of Fire just to harm him, knowing that the tasks would be difficult for a fourth year student.
And I managed to convince most of my housemates that Harry was a Hogwarts champion just like me, and that he should receive everyone's support.
And the reason I did this was because I didn't want the situation that occurred in canon to happen again, where almost the entire school isolated Harry, accusing him of trying to steal the glory of the 'true' champion.
But leaving that topic aside for a bit, at this moment I was sitting on the couch with my friends, drinking a glass of butterbeer.
"So the first task will be on November 24th?" Lisa asked.
"Yes, and we will only know what challenge we will face on the day of the task" I said.
"Wait, so does that mean you're going to compete in the first task without any kind of information?" Stephen asked, and I nodded, "Well, this is going to be difficult."
'It would be difficult if I didn't already know that the first task will be dragons' I thought, 'And it's really pointless with this whole mystery task thing when everyone is going to cheat'
"Well, difficult or not I'm excited to see how the champions will do in the first task" Terry said, and the others couldn't help but agree as they were also excited and expectant for the real start of the tournament.
'Well, I can't judge them, since I'm a champion, and I'm also very excited for the first task' I thought, suppressing a wild smile that threatened to appear on my face at the thought of facing an adult dragon.
'This tournament is going to be incredible'
End.
