Kapitel 9: Lounge antics

The night was in full swing at the lounge. Men were chewing on cigars that cost the value of 3 countries, women sung cabaret style songs while people cheered and the drinks, hard and soft alike, were flowing like a fountain. It was no wonder the trio were able to make their way in after Neo stated that he and his colleague were hoping for a night of fun with their escort.

"Shows how shady this place is, huh", Lee whispered once they were out of earshot of the bouncer.

"So true", Hannah replied. "Alright boys, this is where we spilt up. I noticed the method to the madness."

Neo looked intrigued. "Care to elaborate?"

"Before each deal, there's a secret meeting. Depending on who the head is, they send the most charismatic person they've got to sweeten the deal."

"So basically send the prettiest assassin or they blow their brains out. Sounds about right," was all Lee could say as he spotted a gathering of cards. "I think I found our marks. Neo?"

"Sure thing, bro. Good luck Hannah."

"Thanks."

Over in the corner of the lounge, a man in casual wear was sat just chilling out. He had on a black t-shirt, black jeans and what appeared to be sleek silver gauntlets. He seemed to be enjoying the vibe of the lounge. No one giving orders, no stalking anyone. Just chilling and everyone enjoying themselves.

"This seat taken?"

He turned to the left and saw a red dress with a slit going up the leg. He looked up to see a woman who may even have been a model. Same tint eyes too, except they were blue. She was eyeing him in such a way his blood rushed to his face. For the first time ever, he felt somewhat shy but intrigued by this woman.

"Is now."

He moved over for her to join him. Just what did the night have in store for them?
