Kapitel 17: Chapter 16: Level up!
"I can see your excitement" Yani said with a smile as she ceased on firing.
"Huh? Uh hehe" Shin laughed awkwardly.
Yani looked at her team and said, "an average E rank monster can't be dealt with by E rank SMBs. That's why they are broken into pairs. 2 E rank SMBs can take care of one E rank monster on their own. While a D rank SMB can easily deal with two E rank monsters. Of course, it's different with Deli. Since he specializes on daggers and isn't that adept when fighting head on, the other 5 E ranks takes the aggro of the monster while he just slips in the cracks and deals blow after blow while the monster not noticing."
They watched as Terry slashed a worve to attract its aggro while Deli stealthily went to its back and stabbed it with a knife. The worve shrieked in pain but it was cut short since it's head was slice of by Teno.
Shin now understood a lot better. "They're amazing" Shin praised as he watched the scene play out. He felt like he was watching a 3D movie.
Yani nodded and said, "They're our guild's best."
Finally after a few more minutes, the team finally finished off the six worves.
"Well done!" Yani said.
"Shin go ahead and pile up the bodies on the right. They're valuable materials" Yani ordered.
"Ah ye-yes yes!" Shin stutteringly said as he dragged a worve corpse to the right. That's right! He wasn't here just to watch! He also had to work as their laborer.
"Terry and Teno. Help him" Yani said.
"such a drag" Teno said.
"Do you want to get hit?" Yani said as she threatened him with a glare.
"Joking! I'm joking!" Teno said as he put his arms up, indicating that he won't fight back.
Terry laughed at the scene and then walked towards where Shin was.
"I'm awesome right?" Terry said with a smug look on his face.
Shin nodded and said, "You were pretty cool"
Terry laughed and then carried a corpse.
Teno also butted in, "Don't praise this Kuya of mine. Otherwise his head might become extremely big and explode."
"Hey!" Terry said.
The group laughed at the scene.
Shin laughed and then grabbed a worve corpse to drag it to the right.
But Shin heard a growl as the corpse that they thought was dead, pounced at him.
"Shin!" Terry shouted.
Shin was pressed onto the floor by the Worve. It's enormous head constantly tried to bite him.
"Fuck!" He grunted.
'Purple God Eyes Act-'
No wait!
He quickly remembered that he had a short knife hidden in his lower back.
His left hand fended off the worve while his right hand grabbed his short knife and then stabbed the worve in the eye.
It all happened too quickly that even Yani had no time to react.The worve toppled over as that hit to the eye finished the worve once and for all.
Yani heaved a sigh of relief. Earlier she broke down and was stunned. She was preparing fo shoot an arrow but Shin already killed the worve.
"Idiot! Why is it still alive? Who handled this worve!?" Yani shouted angrily.
Mark and Max knew that they were the ones who handled that worve so they decided to step back slowly and they unconsciously shrunk their heads. Guilt was written all over their faces.
"Us..." Mark accepted his mistake and admitted it.
Yani glared at the both of them fiercely.
'Oh f*ck! My salary's gonna get cut' The two of them thought. They knew very well that every monster should be double checked always to see if they were dead. They were reminded of that day when their party was almost wiped out because of one member's complacency of not double checking the corpse.
They felt chills ran down their backs.
Shin breathed heavily as the knife fell down from his hands.
He was still shocked by what had just happened
"Shin are you okay!? Are you hurt?" Terry shouted as he quickly went towards him.
Shin didn't seem to hear him as he was dazed by what the system told him.
[Ding Ding! 100 exp gained!]
[Ding Ding! Level up!]
[Ding Ding! Crystal Stone x1 obtained!]
'I leveled up!' Shin thought to himself excitedly. Shin thought
Shin was stunned for a moment but quickly regained his composure when hw hears Terry's voice shout again.
"Shin!! Are you okay??"
"yes..." Shin said.
"Did you get bit??" Terry asked.
"No..." Shin replied with a smile.
Terry noticed his smile and the worry that he felt disappeared.
"F*ck you! hahahahahahaa" Terry cursed at him and then smiled.
