Kapitel 29: Don’t Be Nosy

Carol came over after Freya sat down in the office.

"Freya…"

Freya turned to look at her. "Yes?"

"Where did you go with your bag halfway through work yesterday?"

Freya was organizing some paperwork when her hands paused. She smiled and said, "I… I went to visit my grandmother."

"Did you know? After you left yesterday, so did Mr. Carter."

Freya frowned. She looked at Carol curiously. Carol's eyes were glinting with excitement from the gossip.

Freya shook her head. "I…"

Carol scrutinized her quizzically. "Don't you know?"

"Erm…"

Carol happily gossiped. "Someone saw you boarding Mr. Carter's car in the underground parking lot."

Freya raised her head to look at Carol and said, "Stop being nosy. Get back to work…"

Carol came over to Freya's ear and continued speaking, "Everyone is saying Mr. Carter wants to date you."

Freya frowned. Gideon Carter? Date her?

Oh please. He would kill her if anything!
