Kapitel 29: What Happened?

Ashur stood paralyzed on the spot in shock. Damocles’ body lay on the ground in front of him, stone dead.

He...he had just killed someone.

Or rather, Linus had killed someone, while possessing his body.

He didn’t know if that was the same thing. Was there any difference?

At that moment, Astraea, who had teleported back to Lacotta to wait for Ashur, and Leander felt a cold shiver go up their spine. In the middle of a hot day, this was highly unnatural.

“Astraea, something’s wrong,” Leander remarked.

Astraea turned and looked into his light blue eyes. “I know, I felt it too,” she said softly. “There seems to be great power coming from Master Damocles’ cottage.”

Just then, her eyes widened in realization.

“Ashur is in trouble!” She cried out. “Leander, we need to go there, now!”

Grabbing onto Leander’s hand, they teleported to the top of the mysterious mountain where Damocles’s cottage was located.
