Kapitel 359: By the candlelight (2)

Damon and Aila lay on the blanket, wrapping the furs around them. Aila's back was pressed against the Alpha's chest as he cuddled her from behind, occasionally kissing her neck and inciting more sparks and heat to tingle down her body. They stared at the floating lanterns on the lake, listening to sweet tunes from his phone. She sighed in contentment, loving this peaceful moment between them.

After talking about having pups together, that was where her mind kept going. Which then turned towards what her life was like six months ago before she knew about this whole other world. All she worried about was passing her last exams and coursework.

It was strange how quickly things changed, but she still felt passionate about what she'd been striving towards. 

"I was going to be a vet," Aila murmured pensively. 

"You still can be a vet." Damon tightened his hold on her slightly. 

"Do werewolves have pets?" Aila chuckled.
