Kapitel 10: A new addition to the family!
He Yu: But! Senpai—
Zhengfan: Tell me, why you call me senpai?but still doesn't listen.

Zhengfan seeing her sad tone didn't let her complete the sentence and gave her a tight hug.
Zhengfan: So, who do you live with?
He Yu: I lived with my uncle and aunt for 6 years till I was old enough for junior high. Since then I live alone, and they visit me every weekend.
Zhengfan: It's okay! You know my old man, he found me when I was newborn and since then he raised me like his own son. Never even married. Then when I was about 9, he was thinking to marry a widow with a almost 6 year old girl, but that woman soon disappeared leaving her daughter. Since then, I with my old man and Ningxue took care of her like our little angel. Ningxue also came out of her loss she felt when her mother died. … So you aren't the only one who had a tough childhood.
Zheng calmly distracted her sad thought with telling her about him and others
Zhou Min was also listening on both of them, sat close to He Yu. She held her hand and nodded her head.
He Yu, who was having a hard time thinking of what to say.
ZhengFan: So wanna join our group and become my little sister?
Those word gave her a big impact through which she couldn't control her tears and hugged him back tightly.
ZhengFan : I'll take that as a yes. So now you can't refuse the reward from your big brother.
He Yu: "Sniff, Sniff" but only for 10 days. You should use more.

He Yu: Yup I heard in the news that, it was considered the best place of last month, where wealthy family spent their money. The best thing is not many knows, who owned that brand either.
Zhengfan: Yup, the revenue of just a week of a high class branch went up to 200 Million. And I told Dad to not disclose it yet. Even the Mu's are under the impression he is working there as an employee after leaving their job.
Replied Zheng. 'The only big expense so far is hiring mages up to super tier for attending customers and serving food, food stock is almost free as its my job to supply. Any mage will never overlook easy money and are getting a very good amount to keep things in control.'
He Yu: 2- 200 M-Million!!
Said He Yu in shock as she isn't familiar with these concepts and how a good thing is sold very high, if its in limit.
Zhengfan: My dear that was just a sale figure we didn't earned that much, the salaries of people working there could be considered very high. So from that figure, an approximately earned amount wouldn't go above 75 million, about 95 Million would go to the guards and serving team and the rest for cooks and other necessities.
He Yu: I still can't believe that's just a weeks earning.
Zhengfan: You don't know anything about business, do you?
She shook her head.
ZhengFan: I'll give you some books to read. Then you won't freak-out like that.
She scratched her head embarrassingly.
From there, Min went to her grandmother and He Yu along with zheng went to their home.
There she met XinXia and Ningxue, and had a very fun time as a family. XinXia got one more Sister, she could play with which made her happy and Ningxue also gave her tip regarding cultivation. During that time Zheng took Ningxue novice-tier to level 5 using 7 warrior class souls, and soon she'll break through to Mid-tier. Like that 20 days past by.
Zheng had gotten the device that day. He was examining the device to look for its mechanism to replicate it with some extra modification. This was the first time he'll use the magic device for magic cultivation.
It was 07:00 pm in the night, he was sitting on the terrace. He took out the stardust device and hold in front of him, He tabbed on the device, the bracelet type device started to open and retreated back to the middle gem. He placed the gem on his right wrist and the device got folded around his arm. As he was about to start his cultivation.
An unexpected thing occurred, the loach pendent made its first ever movement since he put it on his neck. The loach got closer to the stardust device and turned into a snake-
ZhengFan: Whoa!! You decided to wake up now for all times!!
-it opened its mouth, bit the device and swallowed it, It belched right after and again reverted back to its previous round form.
Zhengfan: hahahaha hay! The first thing you do after waking up is this?? If You were that much hungry?? Should have said so. That wasn't mine what you just ate.
He laughed at the actions of the loach, as he had been wearing that pendent since even before he awakened his spark. He had already suspected about it not being a normal pendent, as it got enchanted by the 'source' way earlier then any other accessories he had examined previously.
Zhengfan: Think, I'll get her help regarding this matter and if necessary, pay for it.
He went downstairs, picked his phone and dialed a number.
"In another place"
"Ring~Ring~Ring"
A women came out of the shower hearing her cellphone ringing. She was wearing white bath robe. " Huh? Who's number is this." Thought out loud. "Hello, who's this?"
Zheng fan: Miss Tang Yue, this is me, Mo Zheng Fan.
Tang Yue: Oh Yes! What's up?
ZhengFan: Are you free right now.
Tang yue : Yes I am.
Zhengfan: I text you a location, can you meet me right now?
Tang Yue: Is everything alright?
Zheng fan: How should I put this, its about the stardust device-
Tang yue: Don't tell me you damaged it. You know the consequences are very harsh.
She said casually.
ZhengFan: In a sense, yes-
Tang yue: It did!!
Shouted Tang yue "OK I'm coming, wait right there."
In their city only Mu family possesses this and higher level of resources. As magic equipment aren't some stones that one can find randomly on the sidewalk. They are extremely precious items, that even within the whole Mu family, they are only allowed to use it in rotation with the exception of Mu Ningxue who has her own spirit-grade equipment.
So to Tang yue this was a shocking news. On top of that she knows someone badly wants him to be expelled from school and this matter could potentially be the cause that person use against him.
*After 10 min*
Tang yue arrived at the terrace of their apartment.
Tang yue: Sorry I'm late.
Zhengfan: Miss yue, I'm glad you came on such a short notice.
Tang yue: Now, tell me what exactly happened to the stardust device.
ZhengFan: Well to tell you the truth, this thing in my neck ate the device the moment I started my cultivation.
He pointed toward his pendent in his neck as he said.
Tang yue: What do you mean, it ate the device…
Zhengfan: Well turns out this thing is a vessel and the moment it sensed the magic device, it woke up and ate it.
Tang Yue: if that were the case than it would have happened on the first day you had gotten that.
She said as she moved closer to him to check the pendant.
Zhengfan: It's a long story-
Tang yue: I'm listening!
She said as she was standing very close to him while holding the pendant in her hand.
ZhengFan: There is a girl in our class, who's very fond of me and I adopted her as my little sister. She was having problem of thinking her element to be a weak one. I gave her a little courage she needed and she successfully released her magic. So I gave her 20 days to train her element with it as a reward. Tonight was the first time I was going to use it but this thing had some other plans.
Tang yue: Well no doubt it's a growth type magic equipment, which are thought to be extinct. But you appears to be very calm even in this situation. You know the penalty.
ZhengFan: Well, how did you expected me to react.. panic or something?
Tang yue: Yes, I did.
Zheng Fan: Well, I can pay for it, if necessary.
Tang yue: And you have that much money?
Zhengfan: Yup.
Said Zheng with an 'innocent' nod.
Tang yue: And how did you got that much money?
Zhengfan: You do know its abilities right?
He again pointed his finger at the pendent. It took her few seconds to understand his hint. But when she got that, she tightly hold both his arms and said in a little loud voice.
Tang yue: You idiot, you know how dangerous it is to hunt for monster souls, what if you encountered a strong minion.
She checked his body for any injuries with worry and looked in his eyes.
Tang yue: Promise me you won't do that kind of thing again, you are still a student who haven't even gone on practical training in the wild. And monster are mostly stronger then human even in similar tier. Your powers might be over level 2 novice tier mage, but it's still dangerous, what if your were surrounded by many monster or a 'Strong Minion'.
Zhengfan: Calm down my dear yue. I achieved level 2 one month ago.
Tang yue: What!
She said in a surprise ' Damn, why do I forget, he is a monster in such a young age. Achieving level 2 within close to 4 months, truly a monster in human form…'
Tang Yue: Still its too dangerous.
Zhengfan: But I was able to kill many strong minion.
Tang yue: M-Many? Exactly how much?.
Zheng Fan: Well I didn't actually counted, how many of them were 'strong minion', but there were many that survived my single hit but died on 2nd and rarely 3rd.
She was having a hard time believing that a newbie mage who haven't even completed his school yet took down 'many' Strong minions.
Tang yue: It takes a group of trained novice-tier mages to take down a 'Strong Minion' and he took down 'Many'. Ahhhh he'll be the death of me.
Said Tang Yue in disbelieve tone.
*Aaugh*
Hearing that Zheng 'lightly' flicked her forehead and said.
Zhengfan: Nope, we'll be living happily after marrying.
Tang yue: I'm being serious here, so don't change the subject, you're hiding something from me don't you?
Zheng Fan: You mean like this!!
Said Zheng 'innocently' as he raised his hand in front of her, and lightning arc surrounded his arm.
Tang yue: You have a second element even before reaching mid-tier!!
Said Tang yue with a thoughtful expression. "And this also on a level 2?"
Zhengfan: Yup.
Tang yue: 'That explains it, him being able to take down Strong Minion won't be hard, if his lightning affinity is anything close to his Fire affinity. Weak And normal minion won't survive his single hit, and his lightning could easily stun a 'strong minion' long enough to cast multiple fire spell. God, one talent wasn't enough that you gave him multiple, I don't know how long I can keep his abilities secret, there are many in this world who won't like his quick growth. And some would want to take him to be used either as a puppet or experimental subject. '
Zhengfan: You look too tempting when your in deep thoughts.
Said Zheng in flirtatious way.
Tang yue had a slight blush on her cheeks but controlled it easily
Tang yue: Hehe~. Oh gosh, look where your mind is wondering. I forgot to ask who gave you that pendent?
Zhengfan: Oh! this? An elder friend gave me as his last memento a year and a half ago.
Tang yue: 'Who is that old person, who actually gave a priceless treasure' OK, please keep that lightning affinity to yourself for now and don't speak about that pendent of yours to anyone. Even if that has an indestructible connection with you. It could still attract many unwanted attention.
Zhengfan: I can do that-
She got very close to him and said.
Tang yue: And don't go hunting monster again, you're extremely lucky you never encountered a monster stronger then strong minion, even the weakest warriors level monster is 10 times stronger then strong minion and at least a complete team of mid tier level 2 mages or higher is needed to safely take it down.
Tang yue: Your class will have a 2 months practical training in the wild at the end of school year. And as for device-related matter, I'll resolve any problem that may come your way.
Zhengfan: Okay.
After that she jump off the building leaving Zheng in thoughts.
Zheng fan: 'I was right about her-'
*Before Zheng called Tang yue*
Zhengfan: I was waiting for you to show signs of activation, you're definitely special, I haven't seen any normal accessories, who actually got effected by being under constant exposure to 'Source' the moment I awakened 'spark'.
ZhengFan: It was already masked by 'Source' so I didn't paid extra attention and waited for you to activate yourself. And you little thing just ate that device as you haven't eaten for centuries… let's check your origin Now.
Zheng was surprised that, this is a soul vessel which is actually several millenniums old. And was a physical Vessel of 'Sacred Totem' Azure Dragon's Soul. It was clear to him now, that old man ying was its last protector and a descendent of guardian clan.
At that moment he also remembered that Tang Yue also went into thought, when she first saw it. She might have probably thought the mark to be similar to what she had in her mind.
He was thinking her origin could be the same as the loach in his neck. With that in mind he decided to call her for an urgent meeting to confirm his thoughts.
*Back to the present*
ZhengFan: 'I was right about her, she is a part of totem tribe.'
Thought Zheng after seeing her lineage. "Guess, I'll pay those beast a visit soon"
Things went on like that. Zheng managed to get 2 Stardust device from the auction house in a week and gave it to Min and He Yu to use for full time. These magic device aren't strong enough to keep Zheng's enchantment to improve it further.
He made a 1 inch wide strip of monster skin roll and attached many enchanted rhinestone of different color on it with the interval of wrist size of 18 cm. He rolled the whole strip roll on his left hand over and over again. He was thinking of strengthening those wrist bands until he finds strong material to make magic device.
As he was close to level 3 on lightning because he usually cultivate it most of the time, it only took him a month more on his regular speed without using available methods. The moment he achieved level 3 in lightning, he registered himself as a hunter in the hunter association and did some mission near by city under an alias of 'Lieren'.
Like that, the 2nd year of their school came to an end and students would be taken for practice training for 2 months in the wild. In this year time Min and He yu easily achieved level 2 in there element. Min achieved it much earlier then He yu as she was already ahead of her from the start. And He yu was able to easily cast spells in front of Zheng but casting spells in front of monster is much different.
In the morning students arrived at the school and in front of its gate there were 3 buses waiting for them.
Zhou Min, He yu and Zheng Fan sat on the last seats at the back of the bus. As everybody took their seats the bus started its journey
Miss Tang yue: we'll be heading over to the Snow summit station for the magic practical training. As I've briefed you all in the class. Every city's surrounding station are also the safe zone boundaries. Any further areas outside the stations are places where monsters could show up. So always be careful on not stepping out of the boundaries, as you're not ready to deal with the monsters yet.
After she finished telling the students the necessary information, a TV screen switched on. On which a young man in a military suit spoke.
Military officer Luo: We will always be securing the safe zone boundaries for 24/7, and will ensure that monsters won't be able to intrude into our cities. However do note that our manpower and resources are limited, as there are forest, mountains and many other dangerous and complex territories. Regardless of how great of the mages we have. Its still impossible for us to completely get rid of monsters that could be hiding in caves or underground. So I'd like all students to always prioritize safety and stay close to the team.
