Over the last couple of days Brendan had built a new set of encryption codes with his mother's help. The Queen of Eks Corp didn't enjoy mathematics, but she understood encryption quite well, as it affected many of the tasks she'd taken on. None of the top corporations actually wanted to share information freely, because information was power.

He understood the mathematics of it very well, but since his own memory libraries had been filled with lists of formats and keys since he'd been conceived, he didn't quite understand the difficulty others had with some of the more complex encryptions. Usable codes needed to go two ways without hindering either participant, and this wasn't an immediate solution for the entire Eks Corp Security infiltration problem, but they could now secure their local communications with reasonable success.
