Kapitel 48: Being Watched

'Is she hitting on me? Poor girls, I guess even at this age, I can still break the hearts of poor maidens.' the inn clerk who is in his thirties flattered himself before replying.

"From what I know, those who come first are usually the best competitors. Maybe the first people who are new are dark horses." the inn clerk lightly laughed.

"I guess that's enough information."

"Hm?"

"Thank you, mister! I hope I can see them!"

"... Yes." the inn clerk nodded while the woman turned around and left.

'What a strange girl.' the clerk thought.

With a blink of an eye, the girl suddenly disappeared. The inn clerk frowned.

"Umm, did someone see that lady come out?"

"What? Come out?" one guard turned around to see that the girl clad in black was already gone, "We... we didn't notice anyone exit past here."

"I can confirm." the other guard supported.

"Are you serious you didn't see that girl?"

"What happened anyway?"
