Luke was busy in the lab and he didn't have any thought to check if Jess arrived in Berlin safely. Jess no longer updates her as much since she and Noah became an item. Besides, working in the lab alone was enough to drive him crazy. Oliver couldn't help him and he just lied to Jess that he would for her not to feel guilty leaving him at the lab. 

He would not bother to check on Jess if only Noah didn't send dinner and a bouquet of flowers. When he accepted it, he didn't think much of it, however, while he was biting on his burrito, he did the math. At this time, Jess should have been with Noah already. Yet, he shrugged his shoulders off, thinking that Noah had the flowers and the dinner ordered in advance or his secretary sent it.
