Kapitel 20: Speed Run The Outer Forest
It's been about 4 days since Kameron and everyone else had arrived at Lumen village. The villagers were finally beginning to settle in nicely with the native residents of Lumen, so with plans being focused on making everyone comfortable and safe, Kameron went to fix the over population problem.
In the first day, Kameron ran into some silver hair apes, one of the three animal species with an over population problem, and after killing a dozen of them he leveled up one time .
They were mostly rank 0 apes since he was only scouting the perimeter of the forest and each kill gave him little experience.
So while the apes had a numbers advantage, it did little to stop Kameron's strong aoe attacks.
The following day, Kameron entered the forest alongside Mikoto and surprisingly, or maybe not, Anna. She had insisted on following Mikoto even when Reisi offered to watch her while he was away, in the end he was refused and Anna went with them on their hunting trip.
This day though,the 4th day since Anna had insisted in staying the night in the forest to watch the stars with Mikoto and Kameron, Kameron ran into hundreds of tempest wolves. They were wolves that used the wind element to move a lot faster before attacking. They were low level rank 1 foes but with Kameron and Mikoto's power they steamrolled them like high level npc's fighting against newbie players.
The experience share was working well and instead of gaining enough experience to reach level 40, Anna and Mikoto both reached level 3 while Kameron himself reached level 37. That was already making him satisfied so with even more animals to kill until the overpopulation was solved, Kameron was determined to reach rank 2 by the end of the week.

After hours of fighting many tempest wolves and dozens of silver apes, the duo of Mikoto and Anna, alongside Kameron, stopped a single step outside of a zone that was considered the inner area of the forest, here they will find higher level rank 1 monsters and low level rank 2 monsters.
They could tell that there was a change in zones simply by a one thing, the leaves and grass of the inner zone was noticeably darker unlike the outer zone the were exploring in for the past 2 days.
"Mikoto, you should take Anna back to Lumen. Beyond this point we will find more stronger animals and we will both need to be on guard for them." Kameron said as he looked towards the blue sky above.
"Let's go Anna, I'll take you back with me since we have been out here all morning." Mikoto said as he plopped his hand onto Anna's head before crouching down and allowing her to hop into his back.
With her arms wrapped around his neck, Mikoto walked back towards Lumen holding Anna, Kameron was now alone at the boundary of the inner forest.
(Are you going to go in there? The outer layer isn't helping you much anymore if you haven't noticed.) Ari said reminding Kameron of his current predicament. Currently Kameron was level 38, havening went up one level in the past few hours.
He was getting less and less experience from rank 0 and low level rank 1 monsters so his level speed was very slow. He knew it was because he was getting closer to rank 2.
Currently Kameron had 2 choices. Explore the inner forest and stay there until he has gained enough levels to reach rank 2, or leave and come back the next day with Munakata before clearing some of the inner layer.
If he went solo he would be able to monopolize the experience he gained and with his decent size skill pool he could explore the area safely. He also had over 50,000 health so with those numbers he was feeling fairly confident in his chances.
Though, with Munakata he would be able to explore more of the area as they both got stronger, the only drawback was the experience share.
Taking some moments to decide on a choice ", Kameron decided to walk into the inner forest alone.
"I need to get stronger as soon as possible, my enemies won't wait for me to grow so in order to protect everyone, I need to do things alone for now." He said as he unsheathed his flaming sword at the sight of 3 tempest wolves in the distance.

About 15 minutes later, in the outer layer of the forest, Mikoto was carrying Anna on his back while he kicked his leg out to his side, sending a stream of flames towards a rank one frenzy rabbit causing it to be burned to ash after a few seconds.
"Mikoto..." Anna's soft voice called his name causing Mikoto to adjust his posture while holding her legs with his arms.
"What is it?"
"Will we still avenge Tatara?" Anna asked as she placed her face into Mikoto's neck while relaxing to the soft rattle of the metal chain on his pants.
Remaining quiet for a moment, Mikoto stopped and looked back at the Anna who, in turn, locked eyes with him. "When we get back then I will find the person who murdered Tatara, don't worry about any of that now Anna." He said as he continued walked in the direction of Lumen.

Panting lightly while leaning against a tree, Kameron sighed and stood up straight as he looked at the dozen wolf bodies in front of him. Originally he had only planned to deal with 3 tempest wolves but with one of the original wolves howling for reinforcements, even more showed up to the scene, causing Kameron a bit of trouble.
Luckily he had more health and pretty strong armor, even when taking attacks from these wolves around the same rank and level as him, he only received a few hundred damage. That was far from enough to hurt him so while it wasn't easy, he was able to kill all of the wolves before taking a break for a moment.
(Kam? Have any plans for who you want to summon next?) Ina asked as Kameron put the corpses into his inventory before walking deeper into the forest.
"I have a lot of ideas, I would like someone to help manage Lumen while I am away, but I also feel like we need more fighters in case something happens. I was planning to summon some uchiha from Naruto but with how strong those people are, I feel they won't be happy with their power being limited and me trying to order them around." Kameron said as he started battling with a large silver ape around level 45.
(Then without thinking of those people, who else did you have in mind?) Ina asked as Kameron dodged to the right, avoiding a swinging punch by the ape.
"You have seen my memories so I know that you are aware of the character named Rimuru Tempest. He has a similar skill named gluttony and his body allows him to absorb, create, and replicate things which can be very useful to us. Another person would be Tanya Degurechaff, the war loli." He replied while slashing the ape a few times causing its fur to catch on fire.
(That isn't someone who can manage Lumen for you!") Ina yelled in his ear.
"I know I know! I was thinking either Armin Arlert and Shikimaru Nara. Both are intelligent individuals..." His words trailed off after slashing the ape a few times before stepping back as wounded ape dropped to its knees covered in cauterized sword strikes.
"Both have intelligence that can rival each other so they are both one of my top choices, there are some others though so I'll tell you about them..."
He said as he sent a finishing strike right at the presumed location for the heart of the ape.
(AN: It took too long to write this single chapter, my apologies to those who have waited a long time for this update but I have a few things to say.
First, I will probably accept the contract for Pandora's Kings and only update this story every other day, as to not go too fast and throw out rushed scenarios and plots.
Second, I am always taking suggestions for summon choices, to that end, I will keep the last chapter up and not delete it like I have been doing before, I will also not be doing as many temp chapters as before so it will be more story and less breaks.
Thanks to everyone who sees this, Keep it up with the skill suggestions and character summon suggestions, remember, I don't want too many anime characters so some historical figures or mythical creatures/characters that you all think can work in the story will work. Gods may be summonable in the future when Kameron gains enough powers to control them. Demi Gods/ Half Gods are summonable, Think of the fate characters in this regard.
