With the doctor gone, they hurried into Carl's room, not caring that they were making noise for the possible patients in this hospital. It had been an agonizing twelve hours.

They had been anxious, devastated, pained, and more than anything, they hadn't known what would happen to Carl. It wasn't every day that an immortal fainted, but maybe it was because of the stress in the past month. He needed to rest and they could all agree on that.

However, Carl had something in mind. He needed answers. Answers that only they could give him. He didn't care that he was somewhat weak or that his voice was scruffy.

He didn't care about anything other than his answers, he looked horrible in the hospital gown. His locks looked like dead plant leaves, his lips chapped and his body pale.
