Kapitel 17: Chapter 17 Nuclear Fission

Jane's POV

I've heard someone say before that people are drawn to each other because their atoms were near each other when the universe was created and over time the atoms keep coming back together.

I don't know if this is a blessing or a curse, and what I'm feeling right now sure didn't help. Maybe Luca and I weren't meant to be together. Maybe his atoms were near Sarah's and mine were near someone else's. But if that's the case, then why does every fiber in me yearn for him? Why does it hurt so much to not be able to see his face or talk to him?

After the warm shower I was forced to take, I've tried calling Luca several times on his phone but he wouldn't answer. I guess he got tired of me calling him since it got turned off later.

My heart broke to pieces as reality sunk in, deep. The thought ran in my head but I didn't want to acknowledge it, however, it was still there.
