Kapitel 72: The Intervention

“I would sacrifice anything just to get rid of you,” I said, in a manner laden with mix of emotions. I went beside Georgia and looked sorrowfully at her lifeless body. She was so beautiful. Her hair was so crimped that it looked like it had never been disturbed even when I was making love with her. Even with the knife stuck on her ribs, and with all the blood that had covered the skin of her chest and her belly, she was still the figure of a sensuous and aesthetical mortal that I had come to admire and adore. Death could not deny her the allure and the loveliness of her attributes.

“Stop treating her like a god,” the Shadow said. I felt the urged of contradicting him in every way, to spite him, so I gently glided my hand over Georgia’s eyes to completely close her eyelids to show the Shadow that she had all my respect and empathy that his hatred and jealousy could never outweigh.
