"What's wrong?" Lily asked, a bit of worry on her face.

Did I frown or looked sad?

"Nothing. I hope I could bring my family and friends here, and enjoy the sight. Even living at just the outskirts would be even fine."

"But that would be difficult. At this distance from the capital, there are bound to be more beasts than humans."

"What if I made an impenetrable barrier all around the land and houses that I plan to make?"

"Well, you better get permission from the gods. It's not like they wouldn't know and and see that some stranger is making his own territory within theirs."

"Sounds like they just want some tax or something."

"What do you know about tax at your age? But you're partially correct. You still need to do more things before actually having your own place here, and the first requirement is money."

"Keh. If that's the case then I'm better off travelling instead... which I'm already used to, already."
