The wash of a new glow added a golden shade to the earth. I heard a soft rustling noise below my consciousness. When I slowly opened my eyes, waiting for the hazy blur to become clearer, the bed where I was sleeping took on an appearance of old memories, awakening a nostalgia when I breathed in a familiar scent around me.

When my vision had adjusted to the growing light, gathering its focus, I saw Marvel stretching out his hand and our eyes met. For a moment, I felt my world stop, catatonic, as his fingers softly reached my face. My eyes widened, filled with horror. Before I could fully comprehend my situation, I gasped and sprang out of bed, tumbling down the floor.

It was already too late when I realized I couldn't put my legs into function as they were too weak to support my body, so I crawled as quickly as I could toward the corner, grasping the window curtains to cover my head.
