Kapitel 223: Bait

The encounter with the king may have been brief and meaningless but it was a reminder that he could take away her freedom any moment. 

Before that happened, she needed to ensure things were in order, at least for the most part. 

After getting to her room, she locked the door and looked for the arrow she had hidden at the bottom of one of her trunks. It was the same one Shadow had retrieved from a Gretian camp, which she had hidden away. It was going to come in handy now. 

She may be able to convince some people onto her grand council just by talking, but some would need to see her capabilities in action. This arrow would come in handy. 

She spent the rest of the evening researching all the poisonous herbs she knew and trying to figure out which combination created the poison on the arrow. 

When she finally found it, she nearly hugged the arrow in joy. 

"I can't believe the solution has been so simple all along!"
