It took long for Delaney to process his words because that was the most insane thing she had ever heard. She blinked to make sure this wasn't yet another realistic dream before her stare rested on the insolent human before her. "Did you just ask for my son?"
"For your promise regarding his marriage. Make no mistake." He clarified, as though that would make what he said better.
This time Darius was the one who responded to his impudence. "What makes you think we would set up our son's marriage even before he can talk? Are you out of your mind?"
He circled the table with a scoff. "Don't act shocked with me." He pointed at Delaney. "Your marriage was set in stone long before you were born."
"And I wasn't happy about it." She retorted.
"Yet you fell in love with him." Cassius taunted.
