Xue Feifei looked surprised and tugged at the hem of Lu Weixi's clothes.

Lu Weixi seemed to realize something and narrowed her neck, looking back to see Qin Zhiyou's calm gaze in the distance. He was in deep discussion with a few executives and hadn't cast a glance in their direction. She sighed in relief, her voice had been very small just now; he probably didn't hear, she thought.

As he led the way, the women who followed him quickly caught up, their high heels and swaying waists pushing her out of the center circle. When the crowd surged forward, Lu Weixi instinctively stepped back. In no time, Qin Zhiyou's Mercedes pulled in and he waved his goodbye to the crowd, his gaze barely lingering on her as it swept past.

Only Secretary Wang noticed her. He inclined his head towards her, showing a hint of recognition before he returned to standing by Qin Zhiyou's side.
