Kapitel 7: The return
Xia Liena went back to her hotel room and had a warm bath to soothe her tensed body. She washed for a long time until she saw only smelt of the soap. Then she stood in front of the mirror to make sure that her entire body was clean without any dirt before coming out.
She had few injuries but it was not enough to leave a scar on her body. In-fact, she barely had any scar. Now as she took of her makeup, her milky white porcelain skin reflected the light and it illuminated her beauty. Slender eyebrows with long curly eyelashes, thin and long straight nose and pinkish lips. Her most eye-catching feature is her blue green eyes. Her face was a mix of Asian and white.
Xia Liena then went to dress up as she was going to sleep after neatly washing her camouflage uniform.
Xia Liena then went to her bed and laid down. She did not sleep as soon as she got into bed. Instead, she thought about her life.
Xia Liena was born into the Xia family. There were 9 top families in Country X. Han, Qiu, Xin, Wei, Jiang, Mu, Song, Tian and Wang. The Han family was the number 1 family among these 9. But, there was a family which lead them on. The family greater than Han family which is not the best only in Country X but in various different countries. The Xia family.
She was born into this Xia family. Moreover, she was the heiress and the Clan leader of the Xia. She should have been happy to take the lead but her naive self did not allow her to do it. Because of her, her family was destroyed by her so-called best friend and her boyfriend. But now, she has a chance to change everything. She was reborn. Reborn to the day in Pakistan which was supposed to be her last mission since she resigned after this due to her so-called boyfriend saying her to do it.
In her past life, she died miserably at the hands of Ye Xiaoxing and He Yangfeng. They acted like her best friend and boyfriend. In the end, they betrayed her and made her life hell. She chose to leave military because of them. She opposed her family who looked out for her so that she won't fall in his trap. But she took advantage of the face that she is the Leader of the family and closed their mouths.
In return, what she got was her and her family's end with her assets on the couple's hand.
But now, Xia Liena returned to 7 years ago where everything just started. This time, she won't fall in their trap but focus on protecting her family which she failed to protect in her past life. She will create the sibling bonds with her four brothers who secretly yearned for her love. She will lead their family well. And finally, she will cherish the man who married her in her last life and loved her unconditionally despite her so-called hatred towards him. A man whom her parents arranged to marry. A man who loved her on the first sight and hoped that she will return the love. The man who silently cried to sleep because of his love's hurtful words everyday.
Xia Liena slowly fell asleep after recalling her bitter memories.
Everyone had limited sleeping time. After resting for a small amount of time, the 7 of the Team Alpha members had to wear their military uniform and report their situation. Originally, their trip was intended to be a 2 or more weeks trip but the Commander-in-chief decided to shorten their trip due to the fact that they already finished the rescue operation. After they reported, they directly got ready to leave the country.
Around 5.30 pm, the Commander-in-chief and the Team Alpha soldiers was personally escorted to the airport by the president of Pakistan and they boarded their flight.
The plane rushed into the clouds while the fiery red sun was setting off in the west. The sun was a beautiful sight to see. An end of the day hoping for the beginning tomorrow. Even though Pakistan might be chaotic, the country's leader were filled with hope to make their country an even better place for their citizens.
During the six hour journey, Xia Liena and her team did nothing but sleep. They arrived in the capital city a few minutes past midnight. And the earliest flight to City S was 5.40 am which means the team will stay in the airport waiting room for their next flight but the Commander-in-chief will stay in capital city for a day and go to City A.
As per decided, the group stayed back in the airport.
"What are you planning to do once you arrived?" Wei Wuxian asked everyone.
"If we have to go to the base, let's do it or else I will go home." Wang Hui answered for himself but honestly, that's what everyone thinks so.
"Liena, why don't you just say the announcement now and then we will tell the rest of the idiots.. I mean.. the group later." Jiang Xiaoyu asked Xia Liena, unable to contain his curiosity anymore. That's how most felt anyway but for Jiang Xiaoyu, not knowing something is practically his death.
"Well, I was planning to spend time with my family.." She trailed off not knowing whether to say it now or wait for everyone to group up.
"What? Is the sun rising on west? How come you decided to take a break and have a family time?" Song Yutian asked with the most shocked expression Xia Liena has ever seen on his face.
"I decided to take my role seriously." Xia Liena said nonchalantly as it was easy as ABC.
"Aah....You are really going to take position like a true clan leader?" Tian Rong asked with his face full of doubts and suspicions.
"Yes. Rats thought that since it was very small, the elephant wouldn't notice or feel it dancing on its body when it was asleep. Don't you think its the time for that rats to feel elephant dancing on it." Xia Liena displayed a cold smile bringing chills down the spine.
"Poor guy. Who told him to mess with The Xia Liena? Anyways. Good Luck." Jin Liwei replied with a cruel smile of his own.
"Don't you want to know who that rat is?" Xia Liena taunted the guys.
"You... You are cruel. Please, pretty, please tell me..." Jiang Xiaoyu mustered his best puppy dog eyes.
"The one who is called as my boyfriend and the one who is called as my best friend plus a few more." Xia smiled cruelly after telling who they are. Only she knows how much pain that pair put her through.
"I told you. That man is a good for nothing. He is a jerk..." The rest of the time went by the guys dissing the pair and discussing ways to torture them. Xia Liena just let them be. A part of her was being selfish. It was so good for her to hear someone badmouthing them.
