Kapitel 45: Chapter 45 Time with friends
Bisha and Relissa left for work after breakfast. Rex thought to go to his lab to explore more of his powers when he heard notice from Jarvis.
[Momo Yaoyorozu is coming here, sir.]
"Wait, why is she here?" Rex said feeling confused.
"I informed Momo-sama about you." Rex heard the stoic maid who came with an empty bag.
"Why?" Rex asked.
"Because Momo-sama asked me," Ryoka said then opened the gate where a black hair girl was standing with her eyes hidden under her bangs. "Shopping," Ryoka said with a wink and left.
Momo started to walk slowly towards Rex with bangs covering her eyes.
"Oi, yamero. That's scary-"
Bam*
"Guah!" Rex wanted to say something but Momo moved fast and punched Rex's abdomen. Rex fell on the floor but the next thing he noticed Momo was hugging him tightly with arms around his neck and tears started to flow out of her eyes.
"You idiot!! Why didn't you tell me?! Have I not meant anything to you?! Why….?" Momo said while crying.
"N-no… that's not it…" Rex said scratching his head.
"Then why?! You don't even consider me a friend…?" Momo said looking at Rex. Rex widened his eyes when he saw dark circles around her eyes.
"I… just wanted to give you a surprise…hah hah…" Rex said with wry eyes.
Momo first stared at him for a couple of seconds before she grabbed his collars and spoke, "Are you an idiot!? Surprise for what?! Is that a game show for you?! I was constantly praying and hoping for you to make it alive yet you are here perfectly fine…!"
Rex smiled wryly then gently hugged Momo again and caressed her back. She also didn't refuse the offer and silently buried her head in his chest. "I am sorry…" Rex said.
He was new to this kind of emotion. For a man who survived hell alone for many years, losing limbs was normal for him. He didn't expect Momo or anyone close to him to be this hurt. Sure Bisha was acting like a strong person but he was not aware that she also cried a lot for him.
Rex sighed and continued to caress her back while both of them were hugging each other. He also felt a little ache in his heart when he saw her troubled face. He knew very well that this girl liked him and he liked her too but for now, he can't enter into a relationship, not until he took care of this Emiya person and also All For One.
He needed time for proper preparation which he didn't have. First, it was All For One then now, out of nowhere, this Emiya person popped out he put him in hospital. But… he also can't ignore the feelings of everyone around him. What if his actions put someone else in danger while he was thinking of fighting future threats? He can't ignore people around him anymore. It was not his previous world he could just kill anyone while facing death multiple times. Now he has people who cared for him and he cared for them too. What if his actions made them lose faith in Rex, making the distance from him?
An idea came to his mind. He placed his hand on Momo's back and used Quirk Observation. With blue circuits formed on Momo, many notifications appeared in front of him.

'Holy shhhhh…. I didn't know her quirk is that good… Thanks, Momo!' Rex cheered then sensed another presence silently peeking from the door. He smiled and waved his hand slowly to the girl.
Kyoka nodded and walked towards them silently. "You are an idiot," Kyoka said with a smirk.
"A bigger one," Rex said then looked at Momo who was sleeping peacefully in his embrace. He gently stood up and carried her to a guest room to let her sleep for a while.
He then came back and saw Kyoka sitting on the table looking at her phone with a bored expression. He smiled and poked her cheeks. "Jealous?" He said then wore an apron to prepare lunch.
"Not at all." Kyoka said with slightly pink cheeks and thought, 'Besides I hugged you first… wait, what am I thinking?!' She shook her head then asked, "Want help?"
"Yup," Rex said then they both started to prepare lunch. He knew that Bisha and others were not going to come until dinner time so he decided to make a delicious meal for two girls.

Momo slowly opened her eyes and found herself in an unknown place. The last time she remembered, she was hugging Rex.
'Maybe I fell asleep…' She blushed when she remembers her time when Rex was hugging her and gently caressing her. She felt a little ashamed saying mean things to Rex but she was still pissed when he didn't inform her about his recovery.
She stood and walked out of the room. She came to the hall and saw Rex cooking something along with Kyoka.
"Sup Yaomomo," Kyoka said greeted Momo.
"Rise and shine, princess. Fresh up and join us." Rex said with the same cheery smile.
Momo widened her eyes when she realized her appearance. Her hair was in a mess while there were traces of tears on her cheeks. She ran to the bathroom with an embarrassed face.
Rex and Kyoka looked at each other and chuckled then placed lunch on the table. After a few minutes, Momo came back silently with her usual appearance and sat down on the chair silently.
"How are you feeling?" Kyoka asked with a grin.
"Better," Momo said silently with rosy cheeks.
Rex shook his head and then they begin to eat lunch while talking. Rex asked Momo what happened when he was unconscious. Momo looked a little hesitant then explained what police and other authorities told Kyoka, Momo, and Kaminari who was also with Rex at the incident of USJ.
"So in short, police discouraged and warned you all for using bloody violence against villains…." Rex said as his face turned ugly. He hated government more than the villain and their methods to groom villains. Sure most of the villains are assholes who like to do a hideous crime like murdering and ra*ing for fun but making them arrest without crippling them was more foolish. Not to mention that these kids were future heroes.
"Hey, are you okay?" Momo said shaking Rex.
"Huh!?" Rex snapped out of his thought when he realized that his eyes turned into combat mode. He sighed then spoke, "I am sorry. Because of my actions, you have to take the blame."
"Relax, Rex. Other teachers take care of them. It was not big of a deal." Kyoka said with a smile.
"Yeah, just be alert next time," Momo added.
Rex nodded then after lunch, they sat down in the drawing-room to discuss something.
"Let me show you how I got healed," Rex said and cut his finger a little.
"What are you doing?!" Momo stood up but Kyoka held her hand and nodded to her.
Rex smiled then his left eye turned into bright red and with crimson sparks, his finger was healed in an instant.
"See this red-eye. It is called Alpha-Nanite. It can heal me at an incredible rate making me almost immortal." Rex said showing his red eye.
Sooner or later, they will come to know about all his powers. Except for Meta-Nanites and Omega-1 Nanites, he could reveal Alpha-Nanite since it was the biggest nanite visible to the human eye. Even if he remains secret, people will ask him so he couldn't remain silent.
He had deduced that there could be a traitor in U.A or even his classroom but he can't waste his time searching for a traitor. For most, he will say what needed to be said while keeping most of the things secret.
The last thing he wants was the whole world coming to his head since he was making a 'worldwide cure'. For this, he needed to make a nanite reactor and a way to actually cure it. His powers may look similar to Rex Salazar from the animated series but there was a fine line between their powers.
Quirk is different from EVO since EVO is a result of nanites mixing with genes resulting in mutations while quirk is a natural ability that comes from genes with the unknown phenomenon.
I-Island was formed for the sole purpose of finding out the mysteries of these supernatural phenomenon called quirks but now it mostly made support equipment for heroes for steady income. Rex had visited that Island when he was in his first year of middle school but now he wants some technological equipment and machines to make a nanite reactor.
Tick* Tick* Tick*
"See, it is a rare type of nanite that stores energy from the food I eat then uses that energy to heal me. That's how my arm was regenerated." Rex said tapping a finger on Alpha-Nanite.
Momo and Kyoka were in a daze looking at his red eye. They didn't know what to say to him.
"Amazing..." Kyoka said but she felt something was not right about it.
"Interesting… So what is the actual cost of using that thing? It is giving me some bad vibes." Momo bluntly asked. At this point, she could tell what Rex was hiding.
"Hehe, you are sharp, huh?" Rex chuckled while Momo remained composed with rosy cheeks. "Well, yeah. It is slightly corrosive and it affects me sometimes." Rex said scratching his back.
"Like?" Kyoka asked.
"Like when Momo was hugging me, I had an urge to do something dirty but I only touched her butt," Rex said with thumbs up.
Momo started to become red from bottom to top till heat went on her head and smoke puffed out from her ears.
Smack*
"You pervert!" Kyoka said with rosy cheeks and a slight smile holding her laugh. She coughed and then spoke to Momo, "He is just joking. He didn't do anything to you."
"Oh okay…." Momo said and nodded but she felt a little disappointed.
"Now on to the serious topic," Rex said and then became serious. Momo and Kyoka also became serious. "Momo and Kyoko, as a friend, I would advise you to become strong both emotionally and physically. Mom has told me many things. Death or losing limbs are normal while becoming a hero. Sure on television, hero stuff may look cool but it has a dark side." Rex said.
He then sighed and added, "These quirks come with drawbacks. If it is powerful, it became a magnet to troubles. Just look at All Might, he is the symbol of peace but look, villains came after him even in USJ." Rex said then looked at his hands, "Same goes for me. I will attract these troubles and I am going to face them." He clenched his fist.
He felt a soft yet strong hand holding his hand and saw Momo smiling at him. "I may not be as strong as you but let me also help you."
"Consider me in. I don't have a cool quirk like you guys but just saying." Kyoka also said with her usual smile. "And that last line was totally cliché. Where did you copy it from?"
"Oh dammit! I tried my best to be original." Rex said then looked at Momo and became serious. "By the way, I was serious about touching your butt. I just wanted to say, your butt is great."
