Kapitel 205: Chapter 205: THE PRICE OF LOYALTY

Satan walked slowly, keeping his poise,

As he heard their tapping footsteps,

and occasional noise.

He sighed, and slowly spoke,

"You always run from me, as like before."

His wings emerged from his back,

Big and bat-like, the color of black.

His tail whipped the floor, feeling their vibrations,

As he hums a song, sweet yet vicious.

He stops at one corner, feeling a presense,

And saw an angel, trapped on the spot.

He smiles michievously, anger returning,

"They left you as they did with me,

I remember this plot."

The angel, with brown hair and vivid blue eyes,

Stayed true to his side.

"But we're not the same! Unlike you, I understand,

And I'll be happy to die than to give your demands!"

Satan purses his lips, then laughs,

"Then I'll give you just that,"

His eyes turned much crimson, much sinister,

As the angel made a mistake, to look over.

Satan stared into him deeply and snapped his fingers.

Burning the angel, who only screamed louder.

The demon then snaps back to his senses,

And remembered Asmodeus, he wondered if he escaped.

He felt a bit of confusion as why he was acting like this,

He let him go, knew he was wrong, but they're still enemies.

More so, his desire seems conflicting,

What does he truly want? Was it to destroy everything?

To kill those who left him?

His mind were lost hearing the angel scream.

When the angel was nothing but ash,

He wonders if he'll become just like such.

And if the angels were bound to win,

Why were they so weak?

He laughs as he breaks down near the ashes,

Half mad of what would truly happen.

He felt...happy, scared, and angry,

What is happening, why is he feeling strange lately?

He hated this feeling, this feeling of wrath and revenge,

But for some odd reason, killing others felt too great.

Overwhelmed by his want to cause despair, he stood up,

As he continued to search for the others,

Kill all the mice stucked in his trap.

He held his head, which felt heavy, felt dizzy,

Like a battle inside, just keeps getting bloody.

Self-awareness was his curse, he knew they're bound to lose,

And yet, he just won't leave, he wanted to take more.

He calls out, lost in his own bloodlust,

Calling to the angels, in a deceptive sweet voice as he looks around.

The angels were eventually led to the same spot,

As they were trapped by Satan's serpents,

The demon laughed at them,

And still, gave them choices.

"Join us, or burn,

Your fate is your decision."

But none of them spoke,

As they retained a fighting position.

Satan liked their reaction,

As he smiles, ready for the torture,

He snapped his fingers to create fire,

Only to be extinguished by an angel he barely know.

His eyes were filled with shock as it looked familiar,

A stronger version, of Leviathan's attack.

He saw the angel, which resembled Leviathan quite well,

But he looked grown up, this doesn't make sense.

More so, his emotions were difficult to read,

As he had a rather...expressionless face.

He stood, protective of the angels who took care of him,

And now Satan just wondered, of who could he be.

He grits his teeth and tried to manipulate him,

But the angel seemed to know and quickly ran towards him,

The boldness of his attack took the demon by surprise,

But he only pushed the angel, who despite the loud cracks, quickly rise.

Satan felt more and more confused seeing him,

He didn't changed his expression, not even for a second split.

He seemed to feel no pain at all,

And his black hair with cyan mix, seemed to give him an idea of who.

"Are you...Leviathan's son?"

The angel did not spoke a word,

As he charges again, despite his allies telling no,

Satan did not intend to harm him however,

As he realized he was still a child forced to grow.

He instead summons a serpent to contain him,

As he looks at the angels which tried to fight back,

He quickly overpowers them all however,

As he mocks them, for using a child.

"And you tell me that we're different?

Is this how angels supposed to think?

A newborn, stripped of emotions to be the perfect pawn,

You truly are hypocrites, if you think of such plot."

The angels explained themselves,

But Satan was not interested.

He was about to kill them,

When the angel behind screamed different.

"Do not hurt them! My family!"

The angel named Dawn, screamed loudly.

He do not feel pain, nor sadness, nor dread,

But he knows, very well, the concept of death.

He knows that the angels will never fly again,

The moment Satan, gets to do his ways.

The urge to protect them made Dawn kill the serpent containing him,

And despite being a child before, remembers his mother's dying wish.

He charges at Satan, who despite being shocked again, was not alarmed,

And quickly kicks him with force, that sent him further destroying the walls.

Dawn fell asleep, as Satan laughs.

"He's braver than all of you have."

The angels prayed and were about to attack,

Until Satan, who is bored, turned his back.

"My appetite for causing despair had been interrupted,

Now I'm just curious as to how this happened

How this child became grown in months-gap,

This won't be possible, if not for witch craft."

But while he was still thinking, three angels tried to go near him,

Which were only stopped, by their own allies who knows their difference in strength.

The sight made Satan giggly again,

As he decided to just capture the angels, for Azazel's experiments.

The thought was interrupted, when he was blasted an archangel's ray,

Which made him confused, as to why Michael had escaped.

"Lucifer had you cornered, how is this possible?"

"Nothing is possible, Satan. Only your delusions are."

Michael quickly trapped the demon, and blasted another attack,

While the angels' combined barrier, muffled its sound.

It also prevented Satan to call more demons to aid him,

Making this fight much difficult to win.

Satan was truly in disbelief, but still tried using his own tricks,

Being alone in front of the strongest archangel, however, he could not help but feel weak.

"I know that Lucifer isn't near,

But I didn't expect you to be this cowardly,"

Michael, heart already hardened, teased,

As Satan could barely even think.

When his vision came back, he sat up,

And looked at Michael, who is more than ready to attack.

Satan casted more flames which were blocked by the angels,

While Michael moved directly towards him.

Satan quickly sings a hypnotic lullaby,

That caused Michael's ears to bleed on spot,

The moment of distraction gave way for Satan to come closer,

Landing fast swipes of attacks, too fast for Michael to even cast a barrier.

Michael then flooded his mind with memories so to not hear the song,

Which proved to be quite effective, as he battles on.

Satan grits his teeth, and tried to burn the archangel,

But his powerful set of wings, just blow them away.

Satan used his reading eyes to predict his next attack,

But sensed a mix of emotions in Michael's mind.

Such things triggered Satan to feel wrath,

Desperate and irritated, that he is alone in this fight.

Michael dodged his swift movements,

While the angels kept helping Michael in their own ways.

They would focus light on Satan's eyes,

Making him, temporarily blind.

Satan staggers, yet still stands up.

And sung another desperate song, as he attacks.

The angels were in a trance,

Stopped attacking, as if they've given up.

The song seemed to be working,

Until Michael threw his spear.

And though Satan caught it,

Didn't noticed the concentrated blow accompanied by it.

He falls to his knees,

As he panted and looked at Michael,

Wondering how he could fight like this,

With the help of others, why he's by himself.

Michael then remembered the time,

He was captured and tortured in their hands.

"And that time you wounded me when I'm tied?

Don't you remember that I had no one else in sight?

You act like you had been poorly treated,

When you're treating us all the same.

Stand up or submit you're defeated.

Because no matter what, I won't let you win this game."

The demon coughed blood, as his tail and wings were bent.

He knew better, than feel too confident and pretend.

In a hope to live and in the right time escape,

He submitted defeat, as Michael drags him by his tail.

Satan curses his bad luck of fighting the strongest angel without preparations,

But his thought of revenge quickly faded when fear won his emotions,

The moment the archangel, seriously spoke:

"Your Master took my friend,

And I'll take you instead.

And this time, I'll make you learn your lesson."

...

*Flashback*

The moment Selaphiel plunges his chest,

He was turned into a small cricket, than end up dead.

Selaphiel cursed him to be an insect for a few minutes,

As he knew too well, that they'll end up dead if not for the false act of treachery.

Lucifer was on a different level,

And being in his territory, means that he can easily cast more friends.

Unlike Satan who had been unfortunate to not expect Michael's arrival,

Lucifer had fought the archangel many times.

This made Selaphiel think of what is best,

And treated as though, he had left the angel's nest.

Selaphiel also wanted to learn more about the demon's secrets,

So the next time they fight, the angels will have the edge.

"You seemed to be as quiet as ever,"

Remarked by the overjoyed Lucifer.

Selaphiel only smiles, thankful Satan had not yet arrived,

For if he does, then he could have known the lie in his eyes.

"I'm just happy I'm finally on your side,"

Selaphiel replied, as the Demon Lord smiled.

"I'm happy too, but you know I'm not dumb,

So if you truly are on my side,

You'll kill this angel before your eyes."

Selaphiel felt shocked but managed to hide his emotions,

Lucifer had not been fully convinced. He had truly become wiser.

The demon whistled and a group of demons appeared, holding their hostage,

Who looked extremely beaten, and had no power left to defend himself.

The captured angel was quickly thrown on his foot,

Making Selaphiel felt extreme guilt,

What was the right thing to do?

Lucifer watches with anticipation,

As Selaphiel looked at the angel, begging for his mercy,

The archangel breathed heavily however,

And in in his mind, apologetically mutterd the word "Sorry."

Lucifer smiles wider the moment Selaphiel's spear appeared,

"Kill him with the most passion you've got,

make him suffer the way you did."
