Kapitel 204: Chapter 204: ARE WE TRUSTING THE RIGHT GOD?

Michael quickly protected the others,

Casting a barrier, stronger than ever.

He couldn't hold it too long though,

So the angels took the oppurtunity to scatter.

"Get out of here, this isn't your fight!"

Michael screamed as he was blinded by light.

Satan sighs as he looks at Lucifer,

Who smiles ever so widely,

Glad that the archangels were cornered.

"Satan," Lucifer whispers,

As Satan only turns,

"Catch the other, will you?

I'll handle them two."

"Are you sure? Selaphiel is here as well,"

"Can't you notice? He doesn't even help,"

Satan looks, and saw the lifeless expression on his face,

And after confirming it himself,

he followed what Lucifer had just said.

"I'll search for the other angels,

But better make sure,

This isn't a mistake."

Satan warns as he runs after the angels,

Scattering his snakes to trap them in one place.

Lucifer was confident however,

As he slowly comes closer.

He snapped his fingers and the arrows disappered,

Making Michael turn to him instead.

Michael looked at Selaphiel,

And quickly frowned, for his lack of help.

"What were you doing, angel of temperance?

Why did you do nothing? Are you out of your mind?"

Michael asked, angry and fuming,

Scared that he may lose more of his angels.

Selaphiel sighed and pulled out his spear,

Which quickly puzzled Michael,

As he asks him again.

"What are you doing, Selaphiel?"

"I just realized something, wherever we are is hell.

If God wanted us to win, why make us lose this much?

He is truly toying, playing with our lives.

I've had enough of everything,

So just die."

Michael tried to dodge Selaphiel's attack,

Still not wanting to hurt him back.

("There must be a mistake, there must be,

Selaphiel isn't like this, this isn't real.")

But no matter how much he convinced himself,

Selaphiel's attacks weren't half-meant,

The archangel of charity bled and fell,

Seeing no mercy on his dear old friend.

Michael quickly used his barrier to block him,

But because of his own shock, it scattered to bits.

He cried in utter disbelief,

His trusted ally, looking at him with an intent to kill.

He then looks at the broken shards of shield,

And wondered if Selaphiel was right.

"You always put others before yourself,

That is why...you'll die."

The sorrow was not hidden in his face,

As he begs the other archangel, to rethink his ways,

The archangel did not changed his expression,

Moreso, after hearing Lucifer's other companions.

The sound of Lucifer's hounds could be heard,

And Lucifer was about to come forward when Selaphiel gave a sign to hold.

"I'll kill him myself,"

Selaphiel said, as he plunges him to death.

Lucifer was overjoyed,

As Michael quickly vanished in thin air,

What was left was only his robe,

Which Selaphiel quickly ignored.

...

"This isn't working, these creatures just won't die!"

155 complained, as Sabrina only muttered to comply.

"Well, there's not much we can do but try to escape,

We can't kill them all in a few takes."

Gabriel told the others as he tried to use his barrier,

The force they give however, isn't any weaker.

He cries in pain as the barrier broke again,

Pushing him further, and near an unconcious state.

155 was about to pull Gabriel up,

When she saw the children crying on the side,

She then got an idea,

That could just save their lives.

"Angel Gabriel, protect the kids,

I think..I got this,"

"What do you mean?"

"These nightmares don't have any weaknesses,

The children's expressions made it apparent.

However since they're so strong,

They could just break the..."

("The walls.")

Gabriel quickly got the idea,

As it was risky to protect and break the walls at the same time,

And since every second is dime,

He'll trust the woman in this plan.

Haborym was quickly thrown away again,

His earring shattering in the proccess.

"Break's over for me I guess,"

Gabriel somberly says.

Gabriel then casted a bigger barrier,

Using most of his power on making it thicker.

Humility was shocked when he saw 155 luring the monsters,

Raising the other earring Haborym gave her.

It seemed that the combination of light and noise,

Is just what the monsters are looking for.

Humility couldn't afford to see her plan go to waste however,

So he quickly comes down to provide her protection.

She then moves to the further right,

Thanking her agile and small body,

able to dodge most attacks.

She had tears in her eyes as her feet had sored,

It felt like her skin had been peeled,

From her speed alone.

The monsters truthfully followed, as 155 asked Humility to make a hole,

Which at first, for the reaper, was quite questionable.

"Who cares if there are demons on the other side,

These big monsters will kill them the moment they fall from the skies.

And if there is more,

I don't really care, we have more chances outside than this cramped room.

So hurry up, make it soon!"

Humility then wasted no time and cracked the wall,

Making a hole big enough for 155 to fit.

Haborym quickly felt shocked as the reaper let her do such sacrifice,

And he was about to interfere, when he was stopped by a hand.

Humility then quickly turns to butterflies to escape the monsters,

While 155 quickly jumped through the hole,

The walls did broke as the monsters followed,

As 155 expected to fall.

She closed her eyes, waiting for a quick death,

When she realized, she still haven't.

She saw her body floating in the air,

Something wrapped around her waist.

She looked down and saw the monsters died from the impact,

And if no monster is grabbing her, then

What?

She then saw Sabrina, stretching her hair,

While she clings dear, to the edge.

Gabriel quickly flew to carry her,

As 155 was still paled from what happened,

The children rejoiced and embraced her,

As she smiles, happy that they're saved.

Sabrina isn't as happy however,

As she looks at them with warning eyes,

"I can hear a lot of steps coming to us,

We need to go further, or we'll die."

"What? Another? I haven't even moved on from the shock,"

155 complained, as she cries, already tired.

Haborym then peeks from the hole,

And summons his butterflies, which makes them all curious.

"What's that for?"

155 asked.

"I'm grabbing supplies,"

Was his brief reply.

"Oh, from your room? What kind?"

"Something for you to use, if ever we part somehow,"

"I don't know how to use most weapons so-"

"No need to. I'll let them gather explosives that you can throw."

"What?! Why don't you use them before?"

"Lucifer would get mad, I'll destroy our home."

"Yeah, that makes sense."

"We have to get going now,

Or else, we'll face another horde,"

"How can we get far, Angel Gabriel?

We have a lot of kids on our tails,

Aren't more angels coming to save us?

If not, then it's so unfair."

"They're busy finding more people, and I was supposed to meet another group,

But since you're still endanger,

I'll stay a bit longer to make sure you're all safe.

We were supposed to meet reapers on the end of the tunnel,

But Belphegor gave us such a hassle."

Humility only nods his head,

As Sabrina quickly looked ahead.

"We need to go down,

Where water is abundant.

If I get myself soaked,

Then I'll manage to protect you all somehow.

The blue archangel can go save more people,

I'll be unstoppable, if we are in an open space, near water."

The mother quickly held her child,

Hoping that the angel wouldn't leave them behind.

But after Gabriel nods and takes them all to the ground,

She felt afraid, that he'd leave them to die.

Gabriel felt the emotion the woman was feeling,

And understood the fear she feels.

However, he only smiles at her,

"I'm sorry, but I have to save more children, more people, more mothers."

But she was still shaking, very scared,

Not even her child's hands, soften her face.

"Are you sure God is with us?"

The angel's eyes widened in surprise.

He smiles again and laughs,

"He always have our backs."

"Has He?" The mother asked aloud as she remembers her hardships,

How she was forced to steal medicine,

Was forced to sell her soul to the devil,

For the sake of her own family.

"Has He really had mine?"

The mother asked again, heavier in tone,

She was so afraid,

To again be left alone.

"Just when I thought He would never abandon us,

You're going to leave us behind!"

She then looks at her child and pushes him to the archangel,

"Just take my child then,

After that, I'll be okay,"

"I can't take your kid,

I'm going to fight some other demons,

And he might get killed."

The mother then asks another question,

"Are you sure we're trusting the right God?

Or are we just mere toys waiting for false salvation?

I'm so afraid, sir Gabriel,

What if we die the moment you left?"

Gabriel quickly embraces the woman,

"Don't think such things,

Encourage your child.

I promise you, he'll be able to grow happy,

So you have to let me go,

To make sure that the demons will be killed,

So there'd be a new tomorrow.

After we finish our mission,

He'll live long, and run in grassy fields.

He will never go hungry,

He'll be smiling and free.

Just trust God and keep praying Madamme,

He hears you, no matter what."

The mother's grip then slowly loosened,

As she forces to believe, what the angel had just spoken.
