Kapitel 5: Fury Descends

(Three hours after Death arrived)

POV Fury

Fury, who was visibly a three-year old girl with fiery red hair that literally could glow when she got worked up, awoke to find herself in a dusty alley. The temperature in this place was rather high, but nothing that she couldn't bear. "Betrayed...Damn them." she said with a scowl, but her hair was starting to glow so she tried to compose herself and settle down.

Even she could control her anger when it was absolutely necessary. Right now, she was in an unknown place, she had no idea how she got here, she had no idea if she even could leave this world, and she could not count on those traitors from the Charred Council to help her out.

Suddenly, Fury sensed something within herself, and found herself shedding tears for what she could only describe as a miracle. Rampage, her previously fallen friend and steed, was once again firmly attached to her soul, as though returning from the dead.

Tears of joy were not something Fury commonly experienced, but she couldn't help being emotional.

Angered by her own emotions leaking, she composed herself at least, since she didn't want to look weak. After a few breathing exercises, she prepared to step out of the alley and explore the city, but before she could move a step a trio of suspicious men entered the alley and she hid by a dumpster and observed them

"She might be young now, but that just means they'll have plenty of time to train her. Ah man, my luck is so good." a man carrying a burlap sack over his shoulder boasted..

"Maybe we should test the merchandise before we sell her?" the second man, who appeared to be the oldest of the three, at least in his fifties, suggested with the look like a predator.

"Damn, Drax, you are disgusting. How can you even think that?" The third man sneered at him,

The first who was carrying the burlap sack, nodded in agreement to the third, both of them were in their early to mid 20's "Drax, if you keep saying things like that I'll gut you myself." he was willing to sell this girl into slavery at the local bordello, but he would not seek her services since she was much too young.

"You think that they'll wait for her to grow up?" Drax asked with a chuckle "If someone pays for her services, she'll serve them."

"Maybe, but I wont be party to it." The first man countered "My responsibility ends once the transaction is completed. I am an honorable slaver"

Fury, from her hiding spot, had overheard all of this and grew pissed off. In her rage, she decided that these men had to die! Scorn appeared in her hand, and she leapt out, first targeting the man carrying the burlap sack, with the whip lashing out like a bullet and piercing straight through his heart.

As the man fell forward and the burlap sack fell off of his shoulder, Fury caught it, and lashed out with two more piercing lashes from scorn. The remaining two men activated their auras, but the whip still effortlessly struck both of them, ignoring their aura.

The third slaver, like the first, was struck through the heart and died instantly, but the disgusting older man called Drax was viscously struck on his lower stomach, causing his intestines to start spilling out. She sentenced him to a very painful and rather slow death,

Using scorn, Fury hooked on to the upper ledge of a building and yanked herself up, along with the girl in the burlap sack, then she proceeded to jump from rooftop to rooftop until she was well away from where she had killed those three men.

At that point, Fury carefully set down the burlap sack and started opening it. The girl inside of it was a couple years older then her, but really skinny and frail, with peculiar hair, the half on the right was pink, while the half on the left was brown. She was covered in bruises and looked as though she had a really tough life.

Seeing the poor girls state made Fury angry again, and filled her with regret that she hadn't punished those three even more before she had killed them.

The mysterious girl started opening her eyes, which appeared to reflect her hairs colors, with her right eye being brown and her left pink, the opposites of her hair colors. "My name is Fury, are you alright?" she asked the girl.

The girl seemed frightened and hugged Fury. Though Fury was shorter due to being two years younger, she was a Nephilim, so the height difference was not quite as dramatic as it would have been for an ordinary human girl. Fury did not mind the girl hugging her, recognizing that the girl had been through all sorts of hell in her short life.

"What's your name?" Fury asked while returning the hug and comforting the girl.

The girl didn't answer, but just frowned at Fury's question.

"Do you have a name?" Fury asked the girl with curiosity.

The girl nodded in affirmation to the question.

"Well, as I said, my name is Fury, what's yours?" Fury asked again.

The girl before Fury seemed quite distressed, like she wanted to answer, but wasn't sure how to do so. Fury was about to get annoyed by her not answering, but then she felt like she figured something out "You can't speak...right?"

The strange girl nodded and started shedding tears because she was happy that Fury had figured it out. She'd been afraid that Fury would get angry at her for not answering.

POV Neopolitan

Having lived in Vacuo all of her life, all Neo could ever remembered was being alone. She was accustomed to getting beaten up, and repeated kidnapping attempts on her, but until today she had foiled them all.

She had unlocked her semblance in spite of only being five years old, and when she actually saw a threat coming it was a very effective means of defending herself, but it was no use when the man appeared out of nowhere and threw a burlap sack over her, and beat her within it until she was unconscious.

There was something odd about the girl that appeared to have rescued her, but Neo was not sure what it meant. There was just a sense of 'otherness' that she gave off. She said her name was Fury, which seemed somewhat odd to Neo, but she didn't have a bunch of people lining up to be her friends, so she wouldn't be judgmental about her name

Neo hugged Fury and didn't want to let her go, and eventually fell asleep again.

------

POV Fury

After comforting the girl for a while, she fell asleep in Fury's arms. Fury then found an abandoned building and set her down in an old bed before going out to investigate her surroundings

She didn't want to leave the girl alone for too long, though, so she kept her investigation short and hurried back. She did, however, make use of Scorn to swiftly steal some bread and cheese on the way back, since the mute girl did not look like she had ate well up until now.

Fury couldn't properly learn things that she needed to learn in a short amount of time, but the things she had learned about this place, which was called Vacuo, made her want to burn the whole place to the ground, though for now she planned to keep her anger reigned in.

"How did it go, Tyrian?" the question caught her attention for some reason, and she stopped and rested against the wall of a building.

"Flawlessly, Aly." the mans voice responded to the female called Aly.

"You had best not make a mess of things like a month ago in Argus. The Queen only has so much patience." Aly countered.

"Argus was not my fault, I followed the queens instructions flawlessly." Tyrian countered defensively "That freakish Kid, Strife, who could have accounted for someone like that?"

Fury's eyes enlarged as she realized that Strife was also in this world. She was glad that her instincts made her choose to eavesdrop.

"Keep making excuses. I don't buy it" Aly countered with annoyance "Neopolitan must have her will broken, she must endure every hardship possible to hone her into a weapon that we can make serve the queen."

"Look, those idiots followed my instructions to the letter and caught the little brat without incident. By now they have already sold her to the bordello. Mission complete." Tyrian insisted defensively.

Realization struck Fury, that they were talking about the mute girl she had saved! Calling forth Scorn again, Fury turned and swung it, piercing through the wall at the one called Tyrian. She had already judged that the one he was talking too was talking to him on one of those scroll things, so she could only kill Tyrian for now.

------

POV Tyrian Callows

Tyrian had been in the middle of a conversation when he sensed a threat and spun towards it with his eyes growing large from surprise as he looked at...a wall...

No, he was definitely certain of the threat! No sooner had he resolved that the threat truly existed, then something burst through a tiny hole in the wall.

"What's?" Aly's voice asked before he dropped his scroll and used his tail to try to defend against the whip.

Bad move. The whip sliced through Tyrians stinger like a hot knife through butter, with aura not mattering even one bit. "You bitch!" Tyrian howled in pain, managing to dodge the whip before it could pierce through his face, but still he was not having a good day anymore.

The whip, Scorn, retracted and a pissed Tyrian took a few moments to recover, then dove through the window towards where the damnable whip came from and shocked people on the street. who hadn't even noticed the person who attacked him and cut off half of his stinger!

"On the roof, idiot" a young girls voice taunted Tyrian from above.

Tyrian with furious and sadistic eyes began climbing up the side of the building and landed on the roof, but what he found was rather terrifying. The voice had unmistakably been that of a little girl, but what he saw was a three foot tall fire creature

He was still in the air, about to land on the roof, when he saw two fire whips flying at him. Tyrian tried to block them with his own weapons, since he certainly couldn't dodge in mid-air, but when the fire whips made contact an explosion of flame erupted at he was suddenly on fire.

Tyrian screamed in agony and collapsed to the ground as another whip came at him while he was screaming and pierced his skull through his forehead, bringing silence.

------

POV Fury

After killing Tyrian, Fury swiftly fled the scene, jumping from rooftop to rooftop. She picked up the bread and cheese that she had stashed on the way, of course, and returned to where she had left the mute girl.

The mute girl, who was now awake, looked relieved when Fury entered "I brought us some food" Fury said to the girl "By the way, I heard someone mention a girl that matched your description. Are you Neopolitan?"

The mute girl nodded excitedly, both to the idea of food nd to verify her name.

Fury smiled "From now on we will take care of each other, okay Neo?" she suggested "Do you know of a place called Argus? My brother Strife might be there. Do you want to come with me?"

Neo nodded in excitement, seeming genuinely happy and shedding tears of joy.

Fury nodded and then split the bread and cheese with Neo and they sat down to eat.

They would not be able to leave immediately, since they still needed to find out where Argus was located and how to get there, but once they did find out, Fury looked forward to reuniting with at least one of her brothers. She couldn't help but wonder if they were okay, and if War and Death had also come to this strange new world.

If she joined up with Strife, though, she was certain that she would have a far easier time reuniting with War and Death if they were here.

------

Over a couple days, Fury had stolen from various criminals and slavers in order to gather Lien, and paid for two seats on a flight to Mistral, which they learned was the closest kingdom to the town of Argus. Neo, of course, came along. That mysterious 'Aly' was still alive, along with whatever Queen they spoke about, so she concluded that Neo would not be safe if left here alone.

Fury concluded that it was only natural to bring Neo along, and Neo seemed quite happy about it. They seated themselves on the bullhead they had paid to transport them, and Neo soon fell asleep, resting on Fury's shoulder.
