Kapitel 107: What Did Home Look Like?

The Udrad palace was the same as it had always been. The warriors at the doors, the servants pooling in and out of the palace, the beautiful scent that came for the palace even though the people who lived there had cold hearts.

Everything was still the same save for the fact that everything had changed. Alanor no longer felt like he was home. He didn't even know how he was supposed to think of this palace as home after living with the stocks for so many years.

They had treated him better than Udrad had treated his own family and for those very reasons, Alanor was willing to stake his life to protect the witches of Greroth.

Those people loved him unconditionally. They had taken him in and cared for him when they could have easily used him as bait to teach Edison a lesson. They had loved him like their own and even trained him to be one of them.

They were his home and no matter what happened in the future, he would always go back home, to Criselda and Heide.
