Hyson fell silent for a moment appearing like he had fallen asleep but he was still awake. In a barely audible voice, with his eyes closed, he said, "I don't ever want to take something that belongs to you."

Raelle knew what he meant by that statement. Even if being the smartest was just a title, he still didn't want it since it belonged to her. And just like that, he could never think of taking anything that was hers. 

"Go to sleep," instructed Raelle.

Hyson stuck his tongue out at her and acted childishly. He was so high on anesthesia that Shui Xian found it really amusing. He looked so adorable. Raelle, however, didn't think the same. 

"I can't sleep," answered Hyson. "Early in the morning, I heard the child in the ward next door playing a song. It's stuck in my head. Can't seem to get it out." He opened his eyes and looked at Raelle with sparkling eyes, "Do you want to hear the song?"

"And if I say no," she responded.
