At the Jackson Villa, Carmen sat opposite John.
She lifted her head and looked at him. She asked, "Would you like to have dinner first?"
"It's not needed. I will go back to the company afterward," John replied.
Carmen smiled bitterly. John didn't even look at her when he spoke. And she is not naïve not to sense anything. She knew why John didn't want to stay longer. He would go back to the hospital and comfort Ivy.
"Alright, then. I would not take much of your time. Whatever you wanted to tell me, I am all ears." She calmly uttered, despite the throbbing in her heart.
She was an adult. There's no need to make a fuss. Carmen thought to herself.
What only makes her sad is that it happened in such a short time, and she still wishes for a little more, even if it would hurt her so much.
John, on the one hand, took a glance at Carmen. He watched her for a long time before finding the courage to open his mouth.

Hello, dearests! How's everyone?
If you've noticed that I am less updating lately. I was reviewing my recent chapters and my drafts. I realized that I was giving too many spoilers for the book sequel (although Volume 4 is the beginning of the sequel). It should keep many secrets. (heheh)
And so, I need to do some serious rewriting before I wrap up this novel to its end. As of now, I am currently revealing more secrets behind the scenes that happen in the other timeline.
The Official Book Sequel (stories of the next generations: Shun, Theo, and Vincent's children, also the other men) will be released before May end or the first week of June.
To those who are interested, see you there as well! (hugs)
