Kapitel 4: Rise of the Dragen, Talks in the North

Age 294 AC:

After recording everything in his personal journal for personalized training later on, Alexios went to bed for the night on his first night on sea. Not much happened the first few days other than having his "companions" starting their training. He handled the magical aptitude training under secrecy with them all so they all understood the risks. He trained with them day and night only sleeping for the required eight hours. Alexios sat looking over a spear that was gifted to him by his father.

It wasn't their house's weapon Bloodfang but it was a spear made from weirwood and exemplary made if he says so himself. It was crafted to resemble their house weapon but just enough distinction to be of its own calling. Just as he was admiring it, a horn was blown and he rushed topside to see what was happening. He couldn't believe his eyes. In front of them were over thirty ships.

From the way the front of the ship was covered in arrows and the other ships soldiers were hollering and bashing their weapons; he could tell it was do or die. "Men! Today is the day you swear your loyalty to me and in return, I swear on my life that we will come out of this victorious. No matter what the odds! Believe in me and I will deliver our enemies to the bottom of this ocean!" Alexios's voice yelled over the mass.

The sailors and soldiers were dumbfounded listening to this child no older than their own children. Some started to break down while others began preparing their armor and weapons for the upcoming battle. Alexios didn't mind for he knew what his weight could carry in a child's body could have and it wasn't enough. He closed his eyes and began controlling his intention into reality using his inner mana core he has formed and repeatedly expanded then condensed over the years.

The clouds started to darken the skies as the water's unsteady currents started to shake each ship on the open water. Gusts of wind turned the ships to and from with lightning starting to strike down. Alexios opened his eyes in a sudden motion as his eyes glowed with a silver light. He began to hover ever slightly and whispered words that were silent under the winds that blew. The armada of ships opposing them began to creak and sink while the waters battered their sides; lightning struck down upon them, and the winds so strong they would topple the sails.

Alexios watched and so did everyone else in shock and awe before a few raised their weapons in fear of this powerful being before them, only a boy. Alexios calmed them down with soothing words that were followed by oaths of loyalty and fealty. Even his companions chose to follow him till their last breath though no one truly knew what was going on inside their heads. Weeks had passed and the crew docked in Astapor. Alexios started his training with some unsullied to further advance himself after following some advice from the locals and his own advisors.

In order to do it, he had to buy the best ones they had to offer in order to train him and his followers. After purchasing them, he set them not as slaves but as servants and made their newfound status to them clear. It took a few days for them to fully realize it but afterwards they promised to repay the gratitude shown. Alexios had more headaches than he thought he would have as the city didn't actually like having over a hundred Westorosi men in their city all at once doing nothing but training. They soon left and camped nearby to continue, they began to travel from city to city paying for supplies and for valuable lessons to improve themselves.

Doing such activities quickly took years of their time. Alexios is now twelve years of age but already towering and intimidating at 6'0. He was imposing not just for his size but for his speed that shouldn't belong to his height. At age of ten, he began using his company of men and women to take up mercenary contracts for bandits and other suitable jobs for experience. Toros hurled after their first fight like most young men after their first kill, but all were surprised seeing Alexios covered in blood and stoically standing among corpses. Since then, everyone worked harder to help their lord.

He started to make his presence known across Essos and some whispers of him in Westeros began. Some even said he was a coming of Old Valyria with his Red eyes, and flames that some say they swore seeing around him. Though some started saying he was a warlock capable of magic even when most people didn't believe it. He studied diligently and trained even harder. Riding over grasslands atop his mount, a horse that has been with him for almost two years, a fearsome beast.

Ahead were hundreds of Dothraki charging towards him and his soldiers. " Peace is a lie…" Alexios muttered under his breath before sighing then saying with more fervor. "But that's what makes this so much easier!" He charged ahead with the wind twisting around him before exploding forward. Just as he was about to make contact with the Dothraki horde.

A clear line the width of roughly nine feet was shot through for hundreds of feet causing limbs and blood to fly everywhere. The Dothraki were stunned and dazed before Alexios started his killing spree thrusting his spear into the hearts or neck of every individual near him. His companions close on his trail as they too followed closely cutting down anyone in there path. They did not look like children, no they looked like the coming of death incarnate. No one could even get near Alexios and his companions.

With their display of skill they quickly found the strongest warriors in the Dothraki horde. Shortly after only a few minutes, the Dothraki horde were running or surrendering after the defeat of their leaders. He rallied the surrendering Dothraki and told them to never attack him again. He took the weapons from the fallen and any spare horses along with usable armor. Sighing, he looked up and said, "Another few years and I'll be ready."

Winterfell:

Lord Eddard Stark and his son Robb Stark were sitting on a bench as Eddard spoke as he held a letter. "Lord Dragen's son is a famous warrior over the sea in Essos. I think it would be wise to arrange a marriage with their family to secure their forces in case anything were to happen. I also want you to be the one to announce it. As soon as his son returns, You will go to Snake mount and greet him."

"Father, is it really wise to do so? They are but a lower noble family and while they have good warriors, I don't see the advantage of marrying one of my sisters, Your daughter to a man we know little to nothing about." Like that the two discussed the future plans but at a standstill as Lord Stark wanted his son to see reason behind his instincts but couldn't explain it. "Robb, some day you will be the Lord of Winterfell. If Alexios Dragen is half the chi.. no half the man I have heard of. Then he will become someone you want as a ally. Not an enemy, do you understand?"

Robb Stark wasn't believing anything his father told him about Alexios and was only following facts supported by evidence. "I understand father, I suppose going to Snake Mount to bring him here will give me the chance to see if the rumor's are true." By the end of day, he agreed with his father as he is the lord paramount. Edward Stark didn't want his authority to win the discussion for him, he wanted his son to see his views on it. It wasn't a success but not a complete failure either.

With a letter addressing Garth Dragen sent that night, Eddard Stark smiled and thought of the possibilities to come. Just as he was smiling, a raven flew in and with it a letter. A letter from his old friend Robert Baratheon, his smile never fades till he see's the last line which makes his blood run cold. Garth Dragen is eating his supper with his wife when a letter arrives for him, he excuses himself and takes the letter to read it. When he finishes, his shock is apparent in his eyes.

His son's return is to be reported back to lord Stark and to wait for Lord Stark's son Robb Stark to come and greet him. He wasn't sure why this had to happen. He had been receiving letters from his son the past years but he never heard of anything out of the ordinary though subterfuge wasn't his forte. He especially didn't see the reason to spy on his son as his son was dutiful in his reports. Now he could only hope his son and Robb will get along at least as well as he does with Eddard Stark.
