Chapter 42: inside my mind
Bai Hong, with her team, entered the district area but the moment she came into the place she only saw fire here and there
It was as if someone has launched a fire demon at the whole province

Just who are those people?" A man in his army attire kept on cursing someone or something as he moves towards a group of men (around 10)
From his side, a man said "Captain, calm down. Maybe those people are some local thugs"
Listening to this, their captain or person who was cursing stops his movement and looks at him

He calmed himself down and said "At least, their number is small… if they were all in large number, our plan would have long failed"
"What about those 2?" the captain asked a person ho had a fire stick in his hand
The person, who had a fire stick, threw that fire stick away and looked at the captain. "They are in here," he said as he pointed out the tavern that is burning down
"hehehe, well… at least they are dead now… Now, all we have to do is wait for their army to come here from the border and then….. Give the signal to our main army" Captain said with a big smile
He and his time is ready to leave this place
Inside the burning tavern-
*burned wood falling down*
"Hao Jiazhi!!!!"

Hao Jiazhi is on the floor all unconscious, and in front of him is his sister Hao Tai
Hao Tai is doing her best to call her brother, trying to wake him up
She is having her hand-tied to the pillar
Hao Jiazhi made some movement and tried to wake up
He opened his eyes, but as he opens his eyes he saw everything dyed in red.
This red vision is thanks to the blood coming out of his head, the wound is around his right eye

Finally, Hao Jiazhi wakes up and looks around him, the whole place is covered in flames
He tried to move but he noticed that one of his legs is being tied to a pillar
"Little brother…" Hao Tai calls him
Hao Jiazhi looks at her and saw her hands being tied to another pillar, both of them are trapped inside this place that will soon fall down
"Little brother, I am sorry… I couldn't protect you" Hao Tai said as soon as she saw Hao Jiazhi woke up
She told him how those enemy soldiers came and trapped them here, how she tried her best but no matter what
She couldn't jump off the barrier of her crippled leg
She cried and asked for forgiveness as she couldn't protect him as she is a big sister. She failed to fulfill her role as a big sister
The heart of Hao Jiazhi trembled at this scene and at that time he knew something about himself has changed

He started thinking what he should do but suddenly, a sudden pain inside his head emerged

Hao Tai called her brother but he didn't have any response
Inside the brain of Hao Jiazhi-
Hao Jiazhi finds himself in a completely dark place, everything around him is dark

Hao Jiazhi hears the voice from his behind and turns around to look at the source

But the moment he turns around, he saw himself which freaked the shit out of him
It was him, the person standing in front of him, but not him
"Who are you?" Hao Jiazhi asked the person who looks the same as him but his aura and his body language is no way similar to him
The duplicate Hao Jiazhi (let's call him that rather than doppelganger or something else) looked at the scared Hao Jiazhi and said "I am you"
Hao Jiazhi made an angry expression as he knows that he is the real one here and this person is fake, so he shouts at him and said "NO!!!!
I am not you… There is only one person like me and that is me only…."
The duplicate smiled and said "yes, you are correct.
Let me fix my mistake then, I am not you….
