Kapitel 49: Asgard, Again.

After taking my golden apples, I said goodbye to the blonde goddess of immortality and resumed my chariot rally and set out from Valhalla, officially entering Asgard.

Since Valhalla was in the north of the planet (the planet is flat) I had to cross half the entire planet in order to reach Asgard in the middle of the planet, but since I am the great god of wisdom that I was, I took a shortcut.

I canceled the skeletons summoning and used my own ability to teleports myself and my cart to my local mansion in Asgard.

The first thing I did was to check that my Mithril, Uru, and Fafnir head resources were still here, and I was reassured when I found them, before I started arranging the resources that I had collected in Helheim in a short warehouse.

At first I was concerned that Odin would confiscate my resources, but it seemed that his pride and arrogance prevented him from coveting the resources of a small Asgardian, after all, he possessed more resources anyway.

Upon returning to Evaldi's workshop in Niflheim, I studied the spell blocking the magic of Bifrost eye a little bit, so I immediately started forming magic arrays in and around my mansion, I don't care if Odin knows this, I've already crossed the point of offering respect.

After all, all that keeps me in Asgard now is my family, my friends, the fact that Asgard is my home, the presence of some rare resources, and the fact that I will not run away leaving all of my money and my precious resources behind.

If not, I could go from Asgard to Olympus in a single moment, so it doesn't matter where I'm present, distance is just a number.

In doing all this, I started gathering information about what happened in my absence. I don't want to be defamed or to spread false rumors about me.

I found out that Odin had announced to everyone, 29 days ago, that in the past seven years he had sent me to the stronghold of our old enemies (Olympus) in order to strengthen our relationship with them and to create a stronger partnership, because with his great wisdom, he had seen that Asgard alone would face little difficulty, But it is better not to face any difficulty at all.

These were the precise words that he used, which made me angry and frustrated, not only that he stole my great idea, but he gave all the credit to himself, was he not the narrow-minded person who did not want to ally with anyone? Didn't he send me to the lowest layer of Hell because I thought it was a good idea ?!

Not only a hypocrite, but he's also a liar.

I mean, what's the point of all this? For me to fear him? Or in order to show his intention of hostility? Or to make me realize that he is just an idiot not using his wisdom? If that is the reason he succeeds, I really consider his IQ to be less than average.

However, I was planning to tell some people, like my parents, the truth about what really happened, but it seems that Odin has managed this as well, since he personally informed them that I was sent on a very important mission to discover Niflheim, and that I was provided with all the necessities To stay.

Under normal circumstances, in addition to my inner anger, I would tell them the truth, but I was greeted with a surprise that could be pleasant or unpleasant.

It seems that they recently discovered that my mother was pregnant with her second child, since they were very happy, so I did not want to make them anxious or add to the pressure of my problems.

It also means that, even if I told them, they would not just leave Asgard behind.

About Hildr's coffin, I just got around with the 'important mission' lie and said i discovered it in Niflheim.

On that same day, Odin seems to have realized that I am back to Asgard and has some royal guards announce that he will hold a public feast tonight where everyone can attend, and that I, Valli son of trigev (not using my title, Trigevson) will be the guest of honor, where I will be given a noble title.

Others might be happy or angry if they were in my place, but I was just disappointed, it is clear that this political move was to increase Asgard's influence on me, the nobles had no real power, Odin should have done at least something original, and Not trying to hide his problems.

After all, didn't he hide Mimir's head? Hide his brother? Hide his eldest daughter? Hide Tyr? Hide hela? Hiding his multiple relationships and the fact that most of his children are not even from Frigga? And now he wants to hide his stupid decisions by silencing me with a stupid title?

Despite my dissatisfaction, I banned this banquet, as Odin made a long speech about the importance of Asgard, and how Asgard is not a place but a people, and he also said that I would have to return to Olympus in order to complete the other transactions, before he invited me to go up on stage In order to say a few words.

In front of thousands of Asgardians, I thought about exposing Odin for what he really was, but after thinking that Odin had just brainwashed them with his speech, I could only suppress the anger and say some formal words in front of Odin's watchful gaze, before distancing myself from the people who wanted to talk to me politely.

"Hmm, Valli?"

Upon hearing my name, I turned towards the source of the sound to see a blonde Valkyrie still wearing her metallic armor even on such an occasion.

"Brynhildr" I said while I smiled friendly and a little happy, even though she was Odin's adopted daughter, it wouldn't be appropriate to direct my anger at her because she was only a good friend, but suddenly I remembered that I hadn't visited her because of my recent preoccupation.

"I'm sorry I didn't check in on you before, by the way ..."

"No problem." Brynhildr interrupted me, although there was a strange tone in her voice. "I thought I should at least congratulate you. I don't know if you like that or not, but ... I don't like that kind of feast so goodbye." "

"…" Before I could speak, she turned around and started leaving, is she just now indirectly cutting our friendship?

Although I understand the reason, not only was I leaving without saying goodbye to her (mostly because she or I am on a mission) but throughout our friendship, it is as if there is a wall that prevents us from advancing further, and while we live long, we still have the same concept of time as human being, so twenty years and seven years is a really long time.

She must be very disappointed, or something close to that, since she is a sacred Valkyrie, so directing her affection to someone else is 'not normal', and the fact that I do not acknowledge these feelings is a shame.

On thinking about this, I grabbed her shoulder and stopped her in her path "I don't want to be here, why don't you lead me somewhere else?"

Brynhildr looked at me for a moment before answering with a faint smile on her face, "Well, follow me."

Upon seeing this, I thought maybe my previous belief was wrong, this or that I just gave her false hope, which I don't want.

Impressively, the place Brynhildr drove me to was her room in the royal palace, it was a nice room expected of the princess, clean white sheets, golden walls, several small decorations, apart from this it is large as well.

However, all I did was sit on the bed while I removed my previous bogus expression, "This is ... a beautiful room."

"Yes," said Brynhildr while sitting next to me, but she stopped when she saw my frustrated expression and said, "You seem, down, is their anything wrong?"

When I looked at her, I was about to give a vague answer before I realized that it wouldn't be good to suppress all this anger, frustration and psychological waste, not only that it is dangerous for myself, but for those around me as well.

"The thing, what really happened is…" I started speaking while I told her a brief version of what really happened, but I didn't overlook any important events like how Odin sent me to Niflheim for nothing.

"…" When I stopped talking, she kept staring at the ground silently, while it seemed that she did not know how to respond to me.

"This ... do you know why I was sent to retrieve Das Rheingold in the first place?" She said, which made me shake my head, although I know it was her mission, she never told me the exact reason before.

"Well, I found out by chance that my father, I mean Odin, is actually planning to make his next son the true heir to the throne, and because I said this would be unjust for Tyr, he made me carry out this mission knowing that I would not succeed."

Hearing this, I couldn't help but sigh, in mythology it was known that Brynhildr had disobeyed Odin, I just didn't know how she did this here, and it seems that even his children suffer from his arrogance.

"But I'm not so angry about this," Brynhildr said, which made me look at her.

"I mean, if it hadn't happened then we wouldn't even know each other ..." she said as she placed her hand over mine that was above the bed.

Before realizing this, she slowly started approaching me.
