Kapitel 22: Chapter 21

I WASN'T SURE HOW MANY DAYS HAD PASSED.

Day in, day out, drugs were being pumped into my system, to the point that I didn't even notice them. I struggled to tell the difference between a minute and a day, as my brain felt hazed. It was like I was screaming at myself to do something, but had no control over my body.

A door slammed open in the distance causing my eyes to flutter open. The dull lights flickered eerily above me as the heavy sound of footsteps filled the room.

"Isla!" Dmitry's chilling voice filled the room as he strolled in casually. "How is my favorite girl doing?"

While the room was dark, with the only stream of natural light coming in from the ajar door, his eyes seemed to almost glow in the darkness. Their ice cold colour, bored into my dark ones, staring right through me.?

"I-I'm g-good." I slurred, a dazed smile on my face.
