Kapitel 5: Chapter 4
Hoorain's birthday was always celebrated with great fanfare and all the respectable wealthy people of the city were invited to this magnificent ceremony but this time Akbar Shah was invited as a chief guest along with others and he was forced by Rafiq Shah to join them. Rafiq Shah Sahib was giving him a lot of importance, Akbar did not want to come to this ceremony and he had made many excuses but Rafiq Shah did not listen to him and eventually he had to come.
When Hoorain found out that Akbar Shah was also coming, she particularly got all dressed up for him. She never had spent as much time on her preparation as she had this time. She looked more beautiful than usual today. Mahmood's eyes seemed to forget to move away from her, but she did not care about anyone's praise, and who she cared about was not even looking at him. He was sitting completely indifferent ... Possessing the most unique, most distinct, attractive personality ... The heartbeat of thousands of girls ... She couldn't help it either. Then she decided that she would do something herself ...!
Akbar had had the opportunity to talk to Mahmood since that day, so he caught him alone after some time.
"What all the nonsense that day about?" Akbar tried to keep his posture as normal as possible. Mahmood laughed.
"My dear! Don't tire yourself out looking for the meaning of every nonsense. It wastes your time as well as others’ ..." He winked at Akbar and Akbar's anger was high but he did not let his voice be loud.
"Just shut up ..." Mahmood patted his shoulder unaffectedly.
"Keep your temper under control, as another time it will definitely come in handy ... and if you think I am doing something because of this project then it is absolutely wrong. I am not interested in your revenue, so the sooner you get rid of this misunderstanding, the better ... "
"What do you want to do?" Akbar raised his eyebrows.
"Just keep watching … and you’ll see when there’s a checkmate!" Mahmoud shrugged carelessly. A sarcastic smile appeared on Akbar's face.
"From whose side...?" And Mahmoud had just opened his mouth to answer but Hoorain arrived at them and he silenced.
"Oh, hello! What's going on here between you two? Let me know also ..." She apparently addressed Mahmood but she was watching Akbar. Mahmood laughed out loud.
"Nothing special, just messing around that’s all ..."
"Well, just like that...?" She asked in a cheerful tone.
"Yes, I was giving Akbar some special information about some beautiful girls of his type..." Mahmood winked at Akbar teasingly making her jump while Akbar wanted to strangle Mahmood right where he stands. But he ignored the wish as it was appropriate to leave quietly to avoid any more nonsense so he left them both and moved away from there.
Immediately after Akbar's departure, Hoorain had an idea.
"Hey! I forgot to tell you. Daddy is calling you ... for a big profitable deal ..." Hoorain told Mahmood with a wink, making him laugh.
"I am no longer interested in any kind of profit except one ..." He winked back at Hoorain and then left to meet Rafiq Sahib even though he wanted to keep Hoorain in his sight in the presence of Akbar.
As soon as he disappeared from Hoorain's sight, she hurried towards Akbar, who was standing in a corner, taking small, calculated sips of fresh juice which was served.
"Hello!" As she approached, Hoorain addressed Akbar.
Akbar turned towards her and smiled. "Hey!"
"Are you enjoying the party?" And this question made Akbar laugh, effortlessly.
"Yeah, so far..."
"By the way, do you know who is the most handsome man in this whole ceremony ...?" And Akbar eyed her with slight confusion.
"No. I don't know, you tell me ...!"
"You." And Akbar had a strange feeling.
"Thank you very much ... Well now I would like to leave because it’s getting late for me so you excuse me."
"I have one thing to tell you ..." Her sentence made Akbar stop and looked at her.
"What's up?"
"That ... the fact is that ..." Hoorain hesitated and Akbar looked at her carefully which made her even more confused.
"I ... you ..."
"You can easily express whatever you want to say, but please say it without any hesitation ...!" Akbar said softly, giving her courage.
"I ... that ... is actually something I don't know how to tell you," Hoorain rubbed her forehead in frustration.
"Whatever you want to say, please feel free to say it and hurry up because I have to go ..." Akbar encouraged her again.
"The ... thing is that ... I had to tell you that I ..." Hoorain stopped saying and looked at Akbar who was looking at her suspiciously.
"That you ...?" Akbar looked into her eyes.
"That I ... that I fall in love with you!" ALthough it was really difficult to admit this out loud, now it’s done!
"You WHAT ... ??" Akbar was stunned by this bold confession.
