Kapitel 100: Monica (2)
Monica has eaten so so so much. Monica already feels full but Monica has to keep eating. If Monica stops eating and says that she is full the small demon will come and make her run again. Monica hates running! Running is even worse than eating too much. So Monica has to keep eating. Monica has to keep eating for another half hour then she can go see the real miss angel!
Monica has to be strong!
"Oh, Monica. You still aren't full? Let me go get you another ten servings of fruit cake. Desserts are your favorite, right? You said so yourself when you first came here two weeks ago."
The tentacle monster comes with more fruit cake. The cake is so good but Monica is so full. Must keep eating!
...
The last fruit cake. Now Monica is full, overfull. If Monica eats anymore she will explode.
"Wow, all ten servings are gone. Are you all nice and filled up."
"No, mister tentacle monster please bring Monica more fruit cakes."
Fifteen minutes to go. Monica can't give up!
"Monica! Please don't call me a tentacle monster. I'm Pata, a scylla who has perfected the art of cooking. Don't compare me to those uncultured tentacle monsters that know nothing about the true art of making a woman moan. Mine are tentacles of culture, culinary culture! I'll get you some more fruit cakes now."
"Don't bother with it, Pata. Look at her, she's so full I'd confuse her with Darwin. Come along Monica, we are going for another run."
"No! Monica doesn't want to run anymore! Monica refuses!"
"Don't be so stubborn, this is part of your training."
"Monica doesn't want to train! Monica wants to go home! Monica wants to see miss angel!"
"Monica? Why are you crying?"
Monica can hear miss angel's words. Did the fifteen minutes already pass? Monica must check. Oh, there are still fourteen minutes left. Monica must have heard wrong.
Monica really wants to cry but then she sees miss angel, miss angel has come to save Monica!
"Miss angel!"
Monica quickly tries to run to miss angel but the small demon grabs her dress and keeps her from running to safety. That's so mean!
"Mister Edward, I'm sure Monica's training won't be compromised by letting her take a break a little earlier. Can you indulge me this once?"
Yes, miss angel is trying to save Monica from the small demon! Now she will fight the small demon and take Monica away!
"Fine then, make sure she's back on time for her afternoon training."
No fight? The small demon just gives up and walks out the door. Miss angel must be so strong!
"Now there is no reason for you to cry anymore, Monica. Come with me, I found a nice place to sit while I was cleaning."
Monica and miss angel walk through the building and take many stairs. The stairs are steep and far too big. Monica has to try hard to keep up with miss angel.
"Good job, Monica. You climbed the stairs like a little superstar."
"Superstar? What's a superstar, miss angel?"
"Hmm, you see, a superstar is someone that people look up to as an example."
"Like mommy and papa?"
"Yes, your mommy and papa were also superstars."
"But..sob...they left Monica! The evil man said that they are dead."
"They didn't leave you. Your parents will always be with you right here, in your heart. They will watch over you and smile proudly every time you do something good."
"Really?"
"Why would I lie to you?"
"But why can't mommy and papa be here and hold Monica?"
"That's because some evil people did bad things to them and now they can't hold you anymore."
"Why did those people do that? Do they hate Monica?"
"No, some people just enjoy hitting others for no reason. That's why we call them the bad guys."
"The bad guys make Monica angry!"
<Do you want revenge then? We could help you kill those bad people.>
Witch! Monica won't listen to you. Go away or I'll tell miss angel!
<Tell her then. I have nothing to hide. You made a contract with us and you must abide by it. The only real choice you have is how easy you make our cooperation.>
Can Monica really get to kill those bad guys?
<You will have to grow stronger first but from our investigations, the adventurers that destroyed your village are just some bottom-rankers.>
Adventurers?
<Advebturers are people who enter dungeons and fight for riches. Many of them turn violent and have no compassion towards ordinary people.>
So adventurers are bad people?
<Not all of them are but yes, a lot of them are bad people. That's why we need to defend the dungeons from them or they will destroy them all.>
Destroy them? Like the village and mommy and papa?
<Yes, they want to destroy the dungeon core and kill all monsters inside the dungeon.>
Monica won't let them! Monica wants to protect the dungeons!
<That's great. But before you fight you need to train some more.>
"Monica! Monica!"
Ah, miss angel is yelling.
"Monica, why did you suddenly go quiet?"
"No reason. Monica needs to go back and train so Monica can grow strong!"
<You don't need to train now. Spend some time with Melody and enjoy yourself. The adventurers won't run away.>
Hmm, maybe miss which isn't so bad after all. Monica will spend some more time with miss angel.
"Just what is going on in that head of yours? Come on we are nearly there."
Miss angel pushes open a door and Monica can see the big blue sky! Hmm, the clouds are closer, are we on a tower?
"Look, Monica, we are on the roof. Isn't the sky pretty?"
"Very pretty! Like miss angel!"
"Aw, you flatter me. Look there's a plane!"
"What's that, a giant bird?"
"Close but not quite. It's a metal bird that people use to fly in the sky."
"Do they ride on the metal bird?"
"No, they ride inside it."
"You have to get eaten to fly? Monica doesn't want to!"
