Kapitel 9: Chunin Exam part 1

The next morning they were in the Hokage Office as Hiruzen thought the mission has failed when Sakumo says, "The mission was complete yesterday."

"Completed?" asks Hiruzen confused.

"Yes, thanks to Yone foresight of sending a clone towards the border of the Land of Wind we only had to grab the Merchant and Yone used the Flying Thunder God Jutsu and brought us to his clones position," says Sakumo as Hiruzen suddenly coughed his tea up from hearing Sakumo say that.

Sakumo wasn't that shocked from seeing that reaction because he had a similar one while Yone was downplaying it saying that it was a C-Rank jutsu going by his master's ranking.

"He can use it?" asks Hiruzen as Sakumo nods.

"Yes, he can we arrived last night in his room after delivering the Merchant to the Suna Ninjas," says Sakumo as Hiruzen only sighs.

'Why have we hold him down so much if he is such a genius. No wonder that Mito was enraged with everyone in the Village and wanted to take him to the Land of Whirlpools' thinks Hiruzen as he says, "Alright with this you have qualified for the Chunin Exam. It will take place next month so if you want to take any other mission try to not overlap them with the Exam."

"Alright," says Yone happy as Sakumo petted his head.

Both leave as Sakumo sighs while saying, "And with this, my first team will dissolve again. At least I will get a new one next year."

"Don't be sad captain. We will see each other once in a while after I became a Chunin," says Yone with a smile.

"You will have to train a bit more for the Chunin Exam. Your sister, as well as other strong Shinobis, will be participating in the Exam," says Sakumo as Yone nods in agreement.

"Yes, my master used to say that I'm still weak compared to other people since I can't use my full strength," says Yone as Sakumo looked at him.

"What do you mean with full strength?" asks Sakumo as Yone suddenly created a little chakra ball in his hand.

"This is one of the techniques that my master taught me he called it Rasengan. He ranked it as a B-Rank jutsu since it didn't have an elemental affinity," says Yone as the ball disappeared again.

"What can that Rasengan do?" asks Sakumo as Yone smiles.

"It can destroy you from inside out by contact with it," says Yone as Sakumo was now scared of the little man.

"Try not to kill a Konoha Shinobi in the Exam alright," says Sakumo as Yone nods.

"I won't if they don't try to kill me as well," says Yone as Sakumo could live with that.

"Alright, then I hope you train hard. I will be there to see you," says Sakumo as Yone nods because he needed to train.

Mito was waiting for Yone as he returned to the compound and says, "Yone, I heard you completed your first C-Rank mission yesterday, is that true?"

"Yes, grandma. I went with my captain Sakumo to the Land of Hot Water where we were almost ambushed by Yugakure Shinobis but I got us all away with the Flying Thunder God Jutsu," says Yone as Mito petted his head.

"My little boy is growing up well it seems," says Mito proud of Yone as she sees Yone's new style of clothes and continues, "And he has better style than his grandfather and father."

"Thanks, grandma," says Yone as they entered the compound.

Yone returned to training since he wanted to become stronger. Nawaki was watching him when he asks, "Can I also learn how to swing a sword?"

"Of course," says Yone as he stopped and pressed his hand against the ground before he slowly raised his hand creating a wooden sword for Nawaki.

He hands it over to Nawaki while saying, "Follow my movement Nawaki and you should one day be as strong as I am in Kenjutsu."

Nawaki tried to copy his brother as they swung the sword for a while when Horirama went to get them for dinner but stopped since Nawaki seemed to have fun from learning from his older brother since his older sister was always out of the house.

Once Hana and Tsunade arrived did the three move towards the living room to eat dinner together as Hana made Yone's favorite food for completing his first C-Rank mission as they are together Horirama asks, "Nawaki, do you like Kenjutsu?"

"Yes, I always see brother swing the sword, and finally I could as well. It was fun even if I was hitting the air," says Nawaki as he smiled making Horirama smile.

"Once you are old enough I will hand you over my old sword. I wanted to give it to Yone the morning he went for his first mission but he came with two swords already on his body," says Horirama as Nawaki had sparkles in his eyes while Yone now understood why his father was hiding something under his legs.

"Thanks, Dad," says Nawaki happy as Horirama looked at Yone.

"Teach your brother well Yone," says Horirama as Yone smiles.

"Of course," says Yone as Tsunade was now feeling a little jealous of her little brother taking her big brother away from her.

"Tsunade, I can see that you mastered the Yin Seal," says Hana as it couldn't be missed on her forehead.

"Of course, after grandma taught me it was only a matter of time," says Tsunade as Yone petted her head.

"That's my little sister," says Yone with a smile as Tsunade turned a bit red.

The month passed and it was finally time for the Chunin Exam as Konoha invited Shinobis from around them to join this Exam and many of the smaller Lands came while the bigger ones ignored it holding their own Chunin Exam.

The first exam was quite easy to pass for Yone as it was a written exam. The second test was in the Forest of Death everyone had to sign a paper saying that everything that happens inside won't be Konoha's fault.

Yone was sent in alone and many people including the people of Konoha thought he was an easy target only to find out that 7 minutes after the Exam started Yone finished it.

Sakumo was waiting for him in the Tower as he says, "You didn't have to create a new record that nobody will be able to beat from now on."

"It was a team containing a Hyuuga, Uchiha, and Aburame that tried to ambush me so I just defeated them using Taijutsu. They had it coming anyway and to my luck, they had an Earth Scroll," says Yone as Sakumo was smiling while inside he was laughing since two of the four noble clan members were defeated by Yone.

Many people were looking at Yone when suddenly Hiruzen was standing beside them as his team was participating as well and says, "I think nobody will be able to destroy that record from now on. *sighs* I don't want to imagine if your master would train more people like you."

"He trained another person and he is quite strong. He helped me get my summoning beast contract," says Yone as Hiruzen looked at Yone seriously.

"He had a student?" asks Hiruzen as Yone nods.

"He looked like a monkey with golden hair and eyes and everyone called him Rebel but I don't know more except that his name is Jack," says Yone as Hiruzen began to massage his eyes before they massaged his nose bridge between his eyes.

"I just did as my master taught me. I didn't even use a Ninjutsu against them," says Yone as Hiruzen only sighs.

"Well make yourself comfortable until the three days pass or the other teams arrive," says Hiruzen as he leaves Sakumo and Yone's side.

Three days pass as only five teams made it out of the Forest towards the tower with Hiruzen's team being one of them another two from Konoha, one from Yugakure, and the last one from Tanigakure.

They were 16 people that passed the second exam when Hiruzen announces, "Now we will begin with the third exam. It will be a fight one-on-one until someone gives up or can't continue fighting."

He takes a bowl out with sixteen balls in it each had a number in it and they needed to pick a ball.

Yone picked the number 5. Tsunade had the number 2 while Jiraiya had the number 3. Orochimaru had the number 10.

Tsunade had to fight first and Yone says, "Good luck little sister."

Tsunade looked up as she showed him a thumps up before becoming serious as she had to fight an Uchiha. She defeated the poor boy quite fast using her raw strength as she hit the ground making the Uchiha fly in the air as the ground lifted him into the air when a second punch hit his abdomen making him fall unconscious as he landed on the ground.

Many felt pain from seeing that as Hiruzen felt more pain that the ground needed to be repaired because of her student. The next fight was between Jiraiya and a Yugakure Shinobi.

The fight was going on when Tsunade was beside Yone and says, "Your fight is next are you going to make it flashy?"

"No nothing flashy until the next round," says Yone as he ignored the fight between Jiraiya and the Yuga Shinobi.

He then takes his old wooden sword out and says, "This is more than enough."

"A wooden sword?" asks Sakumo as Yone nods.

"This was my first gift given to me by my master," says Yone as he was holding the wooden sword while some of the adults laughed behind his back.

"Then show them what you can do with it and they will eat their laughs," says Sakumo as he knew what Yone was capable of.

"Yes, captain," says Yone as the fight seemed to be over with Jiraiya winning against the Yuga Shinobi.

Yone just jumped down unto the ring as his opponent was from Tanigakure. Yone was holding his wooden sword while Hiruzen was the referee the Tani Shinobi was ready when Hiruzen shouts, "Fight!"

The Tani Shinobi wanted to attack when suddenly he found a giant in front of him making him stop while Yone lifted his wooden sword up and swung it before the sword hit the Tani Shinobi Hiruzen pushed the Genin away while saying, "The fight is over."

"What do you mean?" says the Jonin from Tanigakure as he came down he thought that Hiruzen on purpose pushed the Genin away when he sees the Genin has pissed himself.

Then he sees that the sword hadn't touched the ground when the ground under the sword seemed to have cracks on it when the Jonin suddenly sees what his student saw and became nervous.

"Yone the fight is over," says Hiruzen as Yone seemed to still radiate his aura when it stopped when he removed one hand from the swords.

"Sorry, I was too excited," says Yone as he apologized.

"Don't worry boy nothing happened," says Hiruzen as Yone returned to the others seeing Jiraiya bothering Tsunade as always.
