"You were pregnant once?" Emma asked concernedly.

Carina nodded. 

"A couple months ago, yes," she said weakly, her tears absent.

"I was knocked up by a man most assumed I have no feelings for, although they just based their assumptions on whatever they saw on the surface," she admitted, her eyes now shining with tears.

Emma stayed silent, knowing better than to try to console the crying princess in her time of venting.

She could do more good by staying silent and consoling her later. It seemed like the double date would have to wait.

"Since we were still engaged at the time, when I found out I was pregnant, I was elated," Carina admitted, fighting back tears. 

"I was overjoyed, and I was about to share the details of my news to my family, but it was then Archie found out, and he…"

"Archie?"

"Short for Archibald. Duke Archibald of Denasia," Carina explained.
