Kapitel 100: Date Set

Just as anticipated, the same representative that had appeared before returned, and this time it was Histoire who took it upon herself to answer the door. He would not be invited inside as Keren had made it known earlier that he was not welcomed in the house, and despite the fact that Histoire had changed her mind, that statement would not be rescinded. Histoire stepped outside and closed the door, making it impossible for the people inside the house to hear the exchange. Jotham and Keren were silently seated in the kitchen while the twins were doing whatever it was in the living room.

The man had arrived with a stack of papers and a smirk on his face that irritated her to no end. He would not try to hide his corrupt mind. Had Histoire not agreed to his proposal, he would have used whatever means possible to force her to agree. The man was standing against his car when she left the house and she approached him. Once she was closer, he reached his hand out for her to take.
