Kapitel 33: True Intent
They were back on the airship in the medical room. Ian was in a bed in the same room with Schaffe who was all shackled up in the bed still sleeping. Ian lay in his bed all drugged up because they amputated his left leg and was getting temporary robot limbs on. Phil was in the room with Alan sitting in silence. Sara enters the room.
"What happened out there?" Sara asked.
"It pretty messed up story," said Alan.
"Forget that. Sara bring me to Max," said Phil.
"What? He is in his office and he not letting anyone in," said Sara.
"Good. Alan, stay here and do not leave this room," said Phil. He gets up and starts to head to his office. Sara follows him.
Phil was in the room before Max's office on the airship there was a man there who was the scribe.
"Hey, I want to see Max Major," said Phil.
"Sorry…," said The Scribe. He sees Phil draw his gun in his left hand and aim it at The Scribe's head.
"Listen, I do not care what he doing. You are going to let me in or I am going to blast your fucking brains out," said Phil.
"Private Phil!" said Sara, who was surprised. They hear a speaker near with Max's voice.
"let him in," said Max. Phil and Sara would enter Max's office.
Phil and Max come up to the desk and see Max sitting there with two guards.
"What do you want?" asked Max.
"You think I would not find out what happened out there. I saw your dish and know what it did," said Phil. "You turned my friend into a monster."
"Indeed, it seems my plans have come with full fruit," said Max. This surprised both Phil and Sara.
"What?" questioned Sara.
"This was your plan the whole time you been using him," said Phil. He aims his gun at Max with the guards doing the same aiming their guns at Phil.
"But why?" asked Sara.
"Simple," said Max he got up pressed a button, and opened the wall into windows that view the city. "You see what out there?"
"Philadelphia," said Phil.
"No, what you see what was a great city which held a history once and now look at it. We have been sent back to an age where we need to kill to survive. But the one thing that changed was evolution. Normal creatures turn into monsters and that got me thinking when would we evolve not just into hideous beasts like the super mutants but into new beings who can fight for our future," said Max.
"You are insane. What you did was turn Schaffe into a killer of innocents," said Phil.
"No, Phil. I turned Schaffe into a messiah who will bring us out of this dark age," said Max. "An age I have to say you will not be a part of. Private Phil, you, Ian, and Alan are dismissed from The Brotherhood of Steel," said Max.
"What about my friend? His debt is paid off now," said Phil.
"I think you know," said Max. "He will be serving the brotherhood till he is no longer able to. I think it would be in your best interest to leave before your friends end up taking a punishment you cause."
"Go fuck yourself. I hope you rot in fucking hell for what you have done and one day I will kill you for this," said Phil. He storms out of the room.
"As for you Paladin Sara, be lucky I do not take your rank away. You are suspended till further notice," said Max.
"Yes sir," said Sara. She leaves the room. Max looks out the window and smiles.
