Kapitel 24: Chapter-24
"The place is just ahead", Guard captain shouted as he kicked open a wooden door and directly went inside, followed by Xiao Tiannan.
"This should be the place....", The guard captain said as he looked around the dimly lit room.
Xiao Tiannan entered right after but seeing the blood littered all over the floor quickened his heart beat.
"We found the man", A soldier called out as he lifted a fat body out of rubble.
Hearing the shout, the old man quickly went inside the other room.
"He's dead.", Scanning the man with his profound energy, Xiao Tiannan concluded.
Lifting his head, Xiao Tiannan looked around the dark room, his brows scrunted together when he saw the empty cage in the corner.
"Bring in the guard"
"Yes patriarch"
Guard A who has been responsible for letting William enter the city quickly arrived with a nervous expression on his face.
All colours drained from the guards face when he saw the patriarch of the Xiao Family branch sect standing there.
"S-servant greets maste---"
"Quickly check if it's him", Not bothering to listen to the guard, Xiao Tiannan directly threw the dead body at Guard A's feet.
"I-It's him", Seeing Xiao Tiannan's annoyed expression, Guard A reply in a hurry.
"Search the area", Guard captain ordered towards his underlings.
"Patriarch", Guard captain came upto Xiao Tiannan who was silently staring at the broken door of the cage.
"Search the area for clues.....I need to go and inform the main sect.....",Xiao Tiannan's voice trailed off as he bent down and touched the frozen lock of the cage, Feeling the ice cold surface, A glint passed through his eyes as he turned around and left the area.
Seeing the old man leave, the guard captain turned his gaze back towards the frozen lock and and muttered in a small voice,"....Frozen Cloud Asgard.....the will be troublesome".
As he was thinking a guard next door shouted.
"There are more bodies in here!"

[Near Blue Wind Empire's border]
A carriage could be seen flying through the air, being pulled by a powerful looking profound beast.
Any beast who came near the carriage would quickly flee the other way after sensing the terrifying power fluctuations coming from the carriage.
The mighty image of a burning phoenix was present on the outside of the carriage making any individual with bad intention back off silently.
"Crown prince in the past two years we've already thoroughly searched six of the seven major nations going even as far as using our hidden spies to check out the sacred grounds as well but we've yet to find even a clue about the phoenix child
...do you think that it will be any different this time around?", The old man from Divine Phoenix Empire said as he looked at the middle aged man sitting opposite to him.
"I don't know", The crown prince said in a digrunted voice as he stared outside the window, looking down at the approaching Blue Wind Empire.
"Weakest of the seven nations, So weak in fact that the other six don't even consider it a part of them, With the highest cultivator's strength not even reaching Emperor profound realm.....Do you really need to ask what I think old man?", The crown prince
Feng Ximing yarned as he leaned against the window.
"Indeed the chances are abysmally low indeed for the phoenix child to be born in such a backward nation.", The old man muttered in a tired voice as he remembered how much he had travelled in the past two years, looking for a so called phoenix child.
"What does it matter? Not like Lord father will let us return without searching the entire place....sigh...", Feng Ximingsaid in a voice of resignation, these last two years really hadn't been easy on him.
"Unfortunately the sacred grounds have long gotten a hint of what we are upto and we don't know what kind of plan they might be brewing....There was no way for us to do such a large scale search without getting noticed by them in the first place", The old man said as he shaked his head while imagining how the future might turn out.
"tsk stop mentioning these depressing topics", The crown prince said in an annoyed voice.
"It's been such a long time since I've played with a women.....", The crown prince Feng Ximing said while sighing.
The old man heard what he said but choose to not say anything after all he had long known about the lascivious nature of the crown prince.
*Screech*
Flying at a fast speed, the carriage disappeared within the clouds.

"Were almost there", Chu Yuechan said to the children who were enveloped by her profound energy as they all flew through the snow.
William who was also in the group of kids looked at Chu Yuechan as he remembered what happened before.

"Is there anyone here who remembers where their home is?", Chu Yuechan said in a soothing voice as she looked at the group of children.
None of the kids said anything as they all looked at each other with a sad looks.
"W-we don't have one", A kid with black hai said in a small voice.
Most of them were kidnapped from the street and the others were either sold off by their parents due to being unable to feed them or were taken away after their entire family was massacred.
Hearing their reply, Chu Yuechan's gaze softened even further.
Walking forward, she looked at each of the children.
'Every one here is a girl...", Suddenly Chu Yuechan's gaze was fixed on two children who were both sticking closely to each other inside an over sized shirt.
One of them had brown hair while the other had bright red ones.
But the brown hair kid wasn't the one who caught her attention, it was the beautiful child with those otherworldly bright red colour hair.
Although most of the child's face was hidden behind the oversized shirt, it was unable to hide the child's otherworldly apearence.
'She's definitely special....", Chu Yuechan didn't had to think twice before knowing that the child was extraordinary.
And of course her brain automatically termed William as a girl as well.
After all someone with a face which looked as exquisite as this while being a child would without a doubt have to be a girl right?
I mean just look at his milk like white skin and beautiful curly hair which reached the waist.
If that is a guy then there is no fairness in this worldl!! it will be like god playing a prank on us pitiful mortals!!!
'Hm why do I suddenly have the urge to beat her up?', William thought as he looked at Chu Yuechan.
For some reason the urge grew stronger the more he looked at her...
