Kapitel 174: Dreaming

It was a light kiss, meant to assure the girl in his embrace. Alastair pulled back at once, and his lips curved up, happiness evident in his eyes. He was ecstatic, and his expressions mirrored Samantha's. She too was no less jubilant, and the couple smiled at each other, rejoicing in each other presence. 

Samantha snuggled closer to the man and embraced him, and Alastair accepted her gladly. The couple stayed in each other embrace, reveling in each other's presence, not caring about anything else. Even though nobody was speaking, the silence was not awkward. They were having a blissful time with each other, and that was all they wanted.

Though they were silent, their hearts were not silent. They were singing in merriment, their beats matching each other. It was a delightful sound to hear, and neither Alastair nor Samantha wanted to stop listening to it. While Samantha could hear his heart thumping powerfully, Alastair could sense hers even without listening to it.
