"Messing up with your life?" The man looked like he was being accused unfairly. He let out another laugh before he spoke, "No, my dear. I was doing no such thing. Instead, I was trying to help you by putting you in situations where your powers would have finally woken up to protect you."

"Why do you even wanted my powers to awaken?" Emily asked, her voice so sharp and loud that it echoed loudly through the room.

"Because I wanted to use your powers!" The man answered in a tone which said he wasn't liking at all that she was accusing him for his actions. He immediately became silent when he saw the horrified look on her face. "No, wait! That's not the right term. I must say, I wanted your powers to awaken so that you can help me conquer this entire world so that the two of us can rule it together. Doesn't that sound so perfect?"
