"Shobe, you're finally awake."
The sophisticated woman rushed to her side, face full of worry. She took her hand and gently stroke her cheeks. She flinched when her hand touched her swollen face.
"Madame Chui," her voice was hoarse. Must be because of all the crying and shouting she had with her mother.
She glanced at her father that was standing beside Madame Chui. "Is mother…"
"Don't worry about a thing, Shobe. Your father will take care of everything," she said even before her own husband could open his mouth.
Still confused about the current situation, she threw her father a questioning look.
He cleared his throat before answering, "Shobe, your mother was sent to a different hospital. I'm sorry I let it happened."
