"What are those things" Ellehish couldn't help but ask as they effortlessly lifted the body of the troll. There bodies almost similar to a dryad but far more larger and monstrous.
"Their Daedra" Alawion said as she slit the trolls throat while the creatures held it heigh from the ground. The blood draining out of the wound. And landing into two flask she pulled from her quiver. Ellehish hadn't noticed them strapped on there earlier.
"Daedra but shouldn't they be you know humanoid with multiple horns or lizard like?" sheepishly she asked. This causing Alawion to laugh hard, as the older woman turned to look at her.
"Well yes but no, it's a bit more complicated then that." Taking a breath before continuing " Daedra can come in all shapes and sizes, from beings made of pure fire and ice, to others being of flesh and blood. It all depends on the power of the Daedra and the will of the caster. There are a multitude of different Daedra as there are planes. Some even can be turned into the shape of weapons. These just happen to be more attuned to nature." She motioned to Ellehish how came closer. Within Alawions palm appeared a greenish light it was similar to what mint leaves were in shade and smell. Suddenly she felt something pull on the deer corpse on her shoulders from above her head.
It was a branch from the tree above her it had grabbed the deer corpse by its legs and lifted it up. "Now here your going to drain it " She said as she passed Ellehish a obsidian dagger, The bone hilt being carved in a pattern of flowers. Grabbing it she swallowed a lump in her throat and slid the knife across the animals throat similarly to how Alawion did. It was a bit tough as she didn't want to cut to shallow or to deep.
"And what about those vine things that were in the troll?" Ellehish asked while noting how she was not even fazed by the blood let alone what she just did. Blood dripping off it's ebony shaded edgy she moved it towards the animal and cleaned the bladed on it's hide before handing it back.
"That's was a form of magic that was taught to me. it's a quite rare form of magic and even rare are those that have a affinity for it. but..... then again.." Alawions eyes were scanning Ellehish up and down before like a predator watching it's prey.
Pov Alawion
I had been about to tell the sapling it would be a magic she wouldn't normally be able to learn but that truly wasn't the case for her. That moment when we first meet. and how the will of the nature, the will of Ifray has song a song through me. Mayhaps she could be a candidate for a green lady like I was? or even a Sylvanar
What ever the case this sapling was under developed and without barely anyway to fend for itself. Maybe once it taught she would consider her a cub. And then there was her appearance to consider. Perhaps a run away from one of a salad eating Bosmer.....? .....Right she couldn't call them that now as she also broke away from the green pact, she thought as she scratched the back of her head. But even they wouldn't be as civilized as to not teach her. Hmmm or maybe a Ultima, could be one but ice magic is not something I've ever seen one of them use that type of magic let alone be this pale. Or Lastly a child between a Bosmer and a Aldmeri. That one seemed like the most possible one out of the rest.
It would also explain why she was hiding her ears with magic. Alawion eye shifted to the girls ears. Far longer then most maybe she was embarrassed by there length.
"I thought you said it was wrong to stare" Ellehish said with a nervous look. And what did you mean by then again?" The girl seemed ready to flee at a moments notice, silly sapling she thought. At least she had her flight or fight working somewhat.
"It was nothing, focus for now on our surrounding." and then there was silence, it when on for a while as they waited for the blood to drain.
"Say how old are you sapling? And what of your parents?" Alawion asked, it be best to learn a bit more as it could help her with teaching.
"I....I'm 16 years of age... and as for my parents.... I lost my mother when I was younger and only resently lost my father." The girl said with far more emotional and nervousness Alawion had seen from her. From the girls body language it seemed like she was telling the truth. But now everything felt a bit more uncomfortable, in able to fight her motherly nature she just hugged the sapling.
"Well I'll do what I can to help you to gain a better chance at survival sapling." She said while tightly hugging the girl who's shoulder trembled and began to breath rapidly. The lass had been in able to grieve it seemed.
"Tell you what if you have a affinity for it I could show you what I know about magic, and even if you don't I'll still be teaching you how to hunt and survive in the wilderness." As she said those words memories of how she had taught her son resurfaced, those were better times but now she found herself a stray that needing nurturing.
end Pov.
Ellehish didn't know why she was crying but for right now she felt safe in Alawions arms. It reminded her of her own mom back on earth. she thought as her arms wrapped around the older woman. And there they stood, she crying into a strangers arms while said stranger rubbed her back softly and hummed a tone. As she calmed down she realized that her face was in-between Alawions breast, and in the moment she went from sad to embarrassed and moved away.
"Cough .... cough" clearing her throat as a hand landed on top of her head and messed with her hair.
"Come it's time we headed back, oh and ask Arnovai to help you. Your a terrible shot" Alawion said as she lead the way back with the creatures caring both of the preys they had killed. Wiping her eyes she followed behind her. Maybe she wasn't so bad she though while reactivating her crown/ eye cover to hide her ears.
