"Jamie" Lenora's voice was emotionless and empty, her eyes were puffy and swollen and her hair was frizzy and disheveled. She wasn't a tall woman but today she looked exceptionally small and weak, in an oversized jogger and a big sweet shirt, her face was red and splotchy and she had a small red bruise at the tip of her pointed nose. Her grip on the door handle loosened as Jamie walked past her into the apartment, placing his gun in the table in the center of her living room he remained that way. With his back to her the silence filled with so much emotion, so much pain, and too much sadness.
"Jamie," she said again, shutting the door but he raised his hands to stop her when he turned to face her eyes widened, and the tears that fell once felt nothing like the ones that left stinging of remorse as they touched her skin. But wasn't the only one that was feeling a sting in that room.
Wow, I got emotional writing this scene, writing something like this really makes me realize that this book is really ending. Wow, what do you think about Lenora and Jamie, their relationship has been a real rocky one, do you think there will be a happy ending for them? I don't think they will survive together with all of this. I named the chapter after the song that inspired the chapter. How I managed to write this in an hour still baffles me though. Win-win is stressful.
