" She was here but she wasn't granted entry. Before you ask, I gave orders not to let her inside the palace". Said the empress dowager straightforwardly.

" As I suppose she came to see Li Wei, didn't she? She came to see my son and you didn't allow her inside the palace simply because if you had done so, she would have discovered his off state. You didn't do the right thing, mother! You were wrong!" The emperor said to her with disappointment in his tone.

" You're all blaming me for my actions but no one tries to understand my motives". She said sadly.

" I understand your feelings, mother but by not allowing her to get inside, you've taken away the opportunity for Li Wei to recover. You might not want to accept it but Miss Ying Yue is the only one capable of helping him get back to his rightful state". He refuted sadly.

The emperor left the empress dowager and headed towards the young prince's room to see his son.
