After several attempts at finding where Pollux needed to be, he finally reached it. He had trouble finding this place for quite some time because it was not as it used to be. Luckily, after he dropped Tamitha off in Castor's favorite place, he suddenly remembered how to reach this place. The ever-compelling place he saw his entire life. It gives him chills every time he visits the place.
The Axis. His only connection to the heavenly.
He wants to clear everything running through his mind because until now he can't seem to understand what was happening. For all he knew was that he just needs to work on accomplishing his mission. But all his plans seemed like going south and not in the right direction like what he wished to happen. And only one person can answer all his questions.
"Father?" He started. "Father, are you listening?" Once he heard a light rumble, he took that as a sign that he was indeed listening.
"What is happening? H-how can she see me? What happened to remain imperceptible to others to avoid harm and another mayhem?"
Another rumble reverberated. "Forgive me my young for I don't have the supremacy to handle such a thing." A resounding voice emerged. If you are just a mundane, you would definitely got terrified hearing deep and ethereal as if screaming he was a God with that type of voice, but Pollux is not just an ordinary person, he is much more than that.
"W-what do you mean you don't have the supremacy? You are their ruler, for Pete's sake! You can always order everything you wish to happen." Pollux can't help but get mad at what he just heard from his Father. He can't believe that everything seemed to fall apart once again. He's worried that he might put Tamitha's life into much more danger. As much as he wanted to protect her from all the troubles he just can't, because what's more important to him now is his one and only mission. Nothing more.
He waited quite some time, but he didn't get any reply from his Father and that made him resented his Father more. 'Such an ass.' He retorted. He knew he can't do anything about that anymore, which is why he tried to calm himself before talking to his father one more time.
"Just please keep her away from trouble. I'm begging you, Father, please. I don't want to make the wrong decision once again." Before he could attempt to leave, a powerful voice once again resounded.
"Seek the key and the truth shall reveal right before your eyes..."
"W-What?" He got no answer after that confusing statement. 'What key?' He thought.
"Don't hold yourself my young, it would only cause more trouble…" Pollux's emotion suddenly shifted from being frustrated to tensed up with what his Father's remarked. His hand tightened into a fist as if trying to keep his cool.
It only frustrated Pollux more with everything he is into right now, but he knew that it would not help him complete his mission. 'Get your shit together.' He said to himself. Talking to his Father was obviously no help. It only confused him more, especially his Father's last statement. He is now on his own.
He just needed to figure out what really happened. For all he knew was that he just followed what his Father wanted him to do. 'Accomplish this mission and be discreet.' But how can he do that now if he has nothing to guard his defenses? Plus, he's being followed by an unknown person too, everything's too complicated for him, it's not how he imagined things.
Pollux gathered some information first before entering the battlefield. Fortunately, he knew someone who would gladly give him information about what was happening right now.
There's not much time left, which is why he needed to make everything quick. He immediately headed straight to his source of information. Pheme, the goddess of gossips. Pollux saw how the goddess glow among the others near her, truly a remarkable beauty with a scandalous past among the other gods. He knew that Pheme may not give her a piece of reliable information, but he doesn't have any other choice but to go with it. After all, some gossips may be true sometimes, right? It should not deceive him. He just needed to be careful with everything the goddess tells.
It was not a simple task to navigate a wandering goddess in this universe, however Pollux pulled some tricks right on his sleeves and was able to spot the goddess in a coffee shop enjoying her tea and her view.
He discreetly approached her, but the goddess still noticed him. "Oh, what do we have here?" Pheme agape. The excitement was surely evident in her dark brown eyes seeing a stunning fine young man right in front of her.
"I wish to get some information regarding Mount Olympus." Pheme's excitement doubled the moment he heard what the young wants. "What about Mount Olympus?" She grinned.
Pollux can't help but rolled his eyes towards the goddesses' statement. "Is there something going on inside Mount Olympus? Any complications, issues?"
"Well, as far as I want to tell you everything I know, I don't just give information without having something in return, my dear."
"All right, what do you want in return?"
"Just have some coffee with me, my dear." The lass replied.
'Well, that was easy.' Pollux thought. He immediately nodded his head and look for the best café in town, which the goddess gladly obliged. Since she's having a hard time to swallow the tea she's drinking earlier, she's just staying there to check out some good-looking mundanes.
The moment they found a right spot to have some coffee, the goddess immediately digged right into it. "You see young lad, the Mount Olympus is under attack by the well-known enemies of the Gods of the God, Zeus." Pheme started and that seemed to alert Pollux's system.
"Asteria, the goddess of astrology and nocturnal prophecy and Deimos the god of terror led the said attack. Many believed that the reason for the attack was because of what Zeus did for his Demi-god son. He helped him change the past to revise the future and according to Asteria's prophecy, it would just cause further damage not only for the gods and goddesses but for the mundane as well. They all blocked the probable ways that could help the gods and goddesses contact their children."
He's in shocked by what he just heard, everything seemed to be true and he can't deny that he kinda felt bad being mad at his father, but what can he do? He caused all of this. He's the one to blame, not his Father. 'How could I be so selfish and put my Father in vain?' He sighed while fidgeting with his fingers. However, he noticed something's wrong with that statement, but he just ignored it.
"Deimos is creating a group to look for the mischievous child of Zeus. They want him to stop and return to where he should be." Hearing that surely heightened Pollux's senses making him look around and see everything suspiciously. He also realized that the person from last time might be one of Deimos' people, his life was indeed in danger and he doesn't want to get his brother or even Tamitha involved with this anymore.
While Pollux can't stop looking around, the goddess on the other hand can't seemed to stop talking and continuously blabbering nonsense. Pollux knew he wasn't safe here anymore, which is why he swiftly moved and bid his farewell and gratitude to the lass before taking off.
"Goddess Pheme, thank you for your service, but I need to leave." He didn't even give her the chance to talk and just walked away. The goddess was just left dumbfounded with the reaction of the young lad.
Pollux knew that he should not easily fall for everything the lass stated, but he can't help it, for all he knew, it won't be impossible to happen. Which is why he needs to be quick in order to finish everything before it's too late once again. Like what he said before, he won't be making the same mistake again.
He doesn't know what he's up against, but he still needs to be ready, especially now that the battle is fast approaching.
The war is coming.
