The curious five looked around aimlessly in the academy.
"Where is everyone?" Molly asked while skipping down the hallway in search for any student to interact with.
"I think everyone is in class." Muriel stated while taking in all her surroundings.
"Muriel, why don't you send off your positive aura and see where they might be." Shay suggested while looking over at Muriel.
"Okay, I'll see if they are in range." She said while putting her hands together as if she was praying. While closing her eyes she sent off a powerful aura all three could feel deep in their bones. Jess however, was watching while loving the happiness vibe she was sending off. "Found a group. I guess that's the class." Muriel said while opening her eyes and pointing in the direction of the souls she saw.
"Yay! Let's go!! I wanna meet new people!!" Molly cheered while she continued skipping through the hall.
As the group of five came across the location Muriel had directed them to, they could make out small voices behind a door. Muriel being the polite one knocked on the door without the thought of barging in. After about a few seconds they heard the door knob turn. All teens looked toward the door to come across an older man with a puppet in his hand. All five stared at the puppet then back at the guy in confusion.
"Oh you must be new students. Your a tad late but I guess you all will be up next."
The curious five looked at him utterly confused. One thing they were all thinking alike was. 'Is this guy really holding a puppet? Is he a fourth grade teacher or something?' The teacher guided the new students inside to witness what event was taking place. All lingering eyes were now of the five new students. Molly and Muriel didn't mind the staring but the other three loathed it. Jess couldn't hide her stink eye while Y/N averted her eyes. Shay however, didn't show he was affected but deep down he was a little intimidated by all the stronger looking men in the class.
"Okay, class we have new students. Don't be little assholes and there won't be any problems. Got that?!" The teacher asked in a stern tone.
All students nodded as their attention was drawn to multiple TV screens. Muriel's group approach the class while being slightly curious what all their attention was on. When the group got close enough they could make out a group of four on the screen fighting one another. The class made small comments here and there. One thing the new students caught on to was. "I wonder who's going to win, the hero or the villains?"
_____________
After awhile the student saw the claimed villains won the challenge. When the students arrived they looked at the group of five in confusion. Someone bluntly asked, "Who are you?"
Muriel being her positive self commented with her kind smile that even a villain could be affected on. "Oh, we are the new students to the class A-1. We can introduce ourselves later when theirs no event going on." She said in an overly cheerful voice.
The class was confused by the sudden positive vibe spilling out in the room. The teacher knew what was happening as he was given all the students abilities. "Okay you five, here we label one another by hero names. Why don't you tell everyone what you want to go by and that's the name you will hear. Keeping your identity a secret is important, even with heroes." The teacher stated while looking at the new students.
Muriel stepped forward. "Happy." She said in a chippy tone.
Molly stepped forward following Muriel's lead. "Evo."
Shay stepped forward while swallowing the knot in his throat as he saw the several eyes staring him down like he was fresh meat. "The Creator." He said trying to hide his shaky voice.
Jess was still giving dirty looks to the class when Muriel nudge her with her elbow sending positive aura through Jess. Within a snap of a finger Jess switched from pissed to happy. "Ink Machine." She said while smiling. The whole class was in more confusion while witnessing her sudden bitchy attitude went away within a second.
Last was the shy, quiet student in everyone's eyes. Y/N stepped forward as she looked up at the group for a second while ignoring the fact there were so many people in a small room. "Klepto Maniac." She said in a surprisingly strong, confident tone even the teacher was caught off by the voice.
"Okay, now that we have your names why don't I have..... Ink Machine and The Creator on the Villain team and for the Hero team we will have Enchantress and Super Punch." The teacher said while pointing at each student he chose.
Jess's eyes shot open looking over at Muriel. Muriel simply looked at Jess, "It's okay. You have Shay, he will make sure you don't lose control."
"But I won't feel anything." Jess practically cried out while her emotions were getting the best of her.
"It's okay Jess. You have to let go of me eventually. I know you grew attached to me but one of these days you eventually have to let go." Muriel said.
Jess was left with near ink tears coming. Shay cut off in the conversation. "Come on Jess. You can trust me. This might be for the best that you can't feel anything. Remember, you can't feel pain. Plus away from Muriel your no longer a solid as much as a liquid. We have the advantage. I'll be in control over you so you don't lost control." He whispered so only she could hear.
Jess breathed out as her shaky body was debating whether she should let go of Muriel or not. Shay grabbed her hand helping her off of her grasp on Muriel. The second she let go of Muriel she looked over at Shay as she had a sudden dead expression. "Okay, you ready to win this?" Shay asked her. She didn't say anything as she only walked to the door to the event center. Shay felt slightly upset even he the creator couldn't get anything out of Jess. Looking back at Muriel he saw her give a reassuring smile with a thumbs up. Sudden happiness sparked to his heart as he let out a small smile. 'Thanks Muriel, I needed the confidence boost. You always know when I need your simple power inside me. I know Jess needs you in her life but sometimes, I think the same thing myself.'
