The egress began to close slowly. Lexine panicked, and took a step forward, ready to enter the academy and discuss with Arkien how he should help her. However, Arkien stopped her.
"I do not know what exactly happened. However, Madam Saisha has yet to recover from an expedition that happened a few days ago. So I cannot guarantee that I will be able to return you to that world."
"But my mom…"
"You should return for now. I know of the deal between you and the Empress. Therefore, I am aware of the fact that Aimero will be coming to collect blood from you in a few days. I will conduct the necessary research about the parasitic shadow you have mentioned. Are you sure about it?"
Lexine nodded, as the egress only showed Arkien's face now. "My shadow guard is the one who told me of the problem."
